your tracks wanted!

Dann - I am sure everyone's already told you but your tracks
are ace, I really like Russells Focus and Song for Smethy. I
even signed up to soundclick to get them, there's commitment
for you. But i was amply rewarded so I shan't gripe. Put
more tunes up immediately.

Big - I know what you mean, but to me the guitar sounds like
it's from another tune. Maybe for emotional boost you could
try rapping, or clapping in an aggresive way.

No, maybe not. I've changed my mind. I like it now. It's
like an 80s horror film soundtrack, like "Near Dark". No the
sound makes more sense now. Sorry for all the fuss.

thanks dog belch! i dont think I've ever shown my tracks
here before so nobody has ever told me that... I'll get some
more up and spam the board some time.

Do you have to sign up to Soundclick to listen? Anyways I'm
moving over to Zebox as we speak. 5MB limit per song sucks.

Song for smethy is lovely. Almost has a prog-house / drum
(not drill) n bass vibe to it in the smooth melody. Nicely
clear, crisp beats too. Btw, i'm sure you posted kitty
before... i liked it then and i like it now.

Dear Big,

thanks for your kind words. A lesson i once learnt was from
reading an interview with the sorely missed band Talk Talk.
They were big fans of Steve Winwood (of Free fame) and the
sound of his organ (oooooeerr). One day they were invited
into his studio, and they were waiting for the moment when
Mr Winwood left the room so they could sneak a look at his
keyboard and see what the settings were to get that "unique
sound". When, at last he went off to make the tea or
something, up they leapt with notebooks and pens, ready to
take down the details. And what did they find? That all the
dials were turned up full to 10.

"Gold Crest" is the sound of all the dials turned up to 10.

aud-stim very very very soon, I'm thinking next couple of
days to complete writing (then a few minor things like
getting them uploaded and the subpage done).

The following two tunes are available for download from the
following places.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/7/beltonmusic.htm (Signup
needed...Sorry)

http://www.freewebs.com/jamesbelton (Slow
downloads....sorry)

Feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

1. "Armitage spanks" Inspired by listening to a lot of
squarepusher and steve reich stuff. Not everybodys cup of
tea but I like it (And I'm quite self critical)

2. "Got holes?". A short ambient tune written during a major
case of insomnia, and inspired, i feel, by boards of canada.
More the sort of tune that would fit at the end of an album!
My personal favourite of my tunes.

There are others on there but these are the latest ones

nice to hear your oppinion, dann and yeah, inconsequential
about says it
i've been in a 4/4 state of mind for too long... i need to
get back to my fives and sevens, they treat me much better
than fours, and thanks on space, i put a bit of effort into
the melody, the drums were kinda cheesy so i just put like 4
distortion units on top of 'em and seperated 3 of 'em by eq-
so it wouldn't sound quite so lame

but otherwise i stick w/ my earlier stated oppinion
my music BLOWS
