Well... I have to keep an eye on you ever since you "borrowed" those scans from me... and I shouldn't have to dig up a license agreement [i]you[/i] should have read in the first place... Just because it's free doesn't mean you can piss all over someone's hard work by not honouring a small mention to their site. |

it's a GNU license: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt read it and please point out where it says a link is required. and when you've done that, you can keep your mouth shut. |

OK: very nice new custom work up in the boc section by Phaelam. Also a new psychadelic RDJ face up in the custom afx section by Gwely Mernans. **ATTENTION** If anyone would like to be credited for a custom work of art that is already posted on the gallery please alert me with a to be. Caption is placed under the thumbnail (currently all captions are the filename.) Keep the caption very short. Description is the text placed under the full size image viewed by the user, this can be as long as you want. Don't forget to include your xltronic username for credit. Do not use this thread to ask for credit, email: And not that anyone here would do this but... if anyone is caught taking credit falsely there will be consequences. That is all, thank you. |

I'm not pretending anything. The Gallery application is fully customizable and the point is to embed it smothly into your sites' layout, that may include removing the link. It's like NewsPro/Coranto, they don't force you to have their link, unless you're running a commercial site. You should actually read the GNU license. Check out my link a few posts down. And you can ask yourself: who's attacking who? You started this (read message #01032983). |

I actually have very mixed opinions on this issue, but instead of sharing them can I ask that we drop it? In fact, phobia, I would ask you to delete this thread and open a new gallery thread at the top where I could post information about updates, how to upload and other changes. I've been doing a lot of work on the gallery and would rather move forward with this thing but I need a discussion thread, not a battleground. |
