Taking control makes me want to dress up as a police officer
and ride around on a scooter, throwing watermelons at houses
and then breaking down into a dance in the middle of the
street, while old ladies breakdance around me. Oh yeah, and
there would be allll sorts of crazy elephants standing
around and cars would be hitting them and exploding.

That's fucking beautiful man. Except, Taking Control is the
only track I don't like on this album :us

Drukqs is easily in my top 10 albums of all time, and should
remain there for a good while.

All these sudden drukqs discussions have made me listen to
the whole album again. It's absolutely brilliant. Constantly
shifting structures and patterns is a hard thing to do, but
this album did it perfectly. I love how each electronic
track drills through so many phases.

I heard jynweythek somewhere for some reason, and it made me
remember the amazingly good times of this album. @ vordhosbn
right now, and it's all coming back to me! There are few
things not to like about this album except never getting to
the second cd, but god darn it: today I'll go through it all
even if I don't have the time.. as long as I make it before
18-19 'o clock, it should be fine...

mmm.. good times.

listening to cd1 right now... I always forget how good this
is

even in days like today that I feel very oldschool, and only
want to listen to my caustic compilation or classics cd...
even now, I play this and I say... wtf this is awesome

and anyway some of the tracks here are oldschool hehehe

well, with mt saint michael right now

enjoy

I think this album is absolutely brilliant! It's amazing
how many critics gave it mediocre reviews, but i must say
it's incredible - as a fan, you can't go wrong.
Unbelieveable.

The pace of the album - slow organic pieces intermixed with
fast drill pieces gives it a dynamic life of its own.
Absolutely brilliant!

I hated it at the time, in retrospect it does have it's
moments but it doesn't work as a double album and it feels
messy and unfinished. Apparantly it was never intended for
release, the "official" line is that the tracks were
released because they had been leaked on the net, I did hear
through the grapevine that it was just a load of demo's that
RDJ let Warp release for contractual reasons.
