was that your track is so good that it's gonne be hard for

Nice chilly track, i like the groove. That high snare sounds
like the way Debbie Harry is looking now, a bit wrinkled. ,)

I've been working on mine this weekend. I'd kill for a midi
of the guitar part to it (Bowie- Ian Fish, UK Heir). I think
it's an empty enough track that it might work with one of
these wav to midi progs so I'll give it a go tonight.

Having started work on it properly I'm in two minds, on one
hand I like the way it's so ambient and minimal and on
another I think som light percussioncould really jazz it up.
Decisions decisions.

dont know which one i should knuckle down on and finish...

Got a bit the same problem. I have a bunch of parts but I
can't seem to fit them together. I guess I'm gonne have to
work on some selfdiscipline to first lay down the basics
instead of getting totaly lost in tweaking and searching
sounds. :)

No matter what track you are remixing, there is a techno
song in there somewhere. You just have to carve away what
isn't.

wasnt sure, i prefer doing it in a mix format so that people
are forced to check out everyones tracks yknow... but i have
an issue, i cant upload such big tracks... hence why i split
xtradio 1 into A, B & C... so ill have to figure something
out

what does everyone else think? single tracks ? or mix???

I'd go for a mix, but split it for UL if neccesary. I'm sure
if it's up to standard and hosted on XLT it can be put back
together...

wow, i forgot about this, and now i see that i have to speed
up a little.
i love the song you gave me tea, and i want to make some
really nice dnb out of it, but this is fucking hard to make,
cause i donwloaded the live version and they change the
tempo of their song every three seconds !!
i try to download the studio version. maybe it will be a
little better.

the rosters the same, ive just been concerned about a few
emails ive recieved from people wanting me to change the
deadline til AFTER the Ae remix contest... :/

but things are as normal right now, just might not end up
getting ALL the assigned remixes

sorry man, the problem for me is that i can only really work
on my mix 2-4 days/week... i'm also having some problems
with my four tracks :/

i have it planned out though, i've got the drum beat
recorded, i learned the thing that may as well be a synth
line, and after i get it back on to my computer, thats when
the real magic will begin :D

That's a bit unfair, if people agree to a deadline they
should try to stick to it :|

How many mixes have you got? There's nothing wrong with just
having enough tracks to fit on a cd (I'm sure some members
would prefer that!)

aw... teapot, im really sorry that people arent turning
their stuff in on time. sucks. but i think ceri has a good
point: do you have enough to make it worthwhile? can you
just put it out with the ones you got?

offline Kill Switch from Belgium on 2003-04-09 03:50 [#00640338]

I agree with Ceri. It's been over a month you announced this
rmx thing, plenty of time to work on it. The ae remix comp
just turned up recently.
It's a form of politeness if you engage you to something,
you actually fill in your engagement.

there is just under 50 minutes worth of music submitted so
far... which isnt too bad...
