whatever ofucks who gives a shit about fucking metroid
anymore. besides, id wait to see if that game is good or
not, it doesnt really seem to amaze me all too much with its
ads on the TV. I own timeplitters 2 and it kicks some
serious ass on all levels.

Yeah, Timesplitters 2 rules, although I miss a lot of the
characters from the first one, especially Peekaboo Jones,
but anyway.

Also, the music fuqing rules, I love Neo-Tokyo's music!

I played it for a little while but it really didn't hold my
interest. The animation really bothered me for some reason
and the controls were queer.

Has anyone seen all the new Capcom games for the GCN that
were unveiled earlier today? Go to www.gamesarefun.com for
some info and screens. They look shweet.

metroid-movieclips at ign.com look amazing :-o

I wouldn't think it'd be possible, but it actually looks
like a metroid-game in 3d.

Damn... i wonder how long i'm going to be able to resist
buying a gamecube now?

Ah, fuck this shit. I went everywhere this morning, skipped
classes to traverse the various malls, and Metroid isn't in
yet.

Fuck this shit.

Fuck it. My life is ruined.

But I did use my time wisely to beat Metroid Fusion, so I'm
feeling a little better...

That was at like 2 in the morning. I guess that could be
classified as ''today''... well I thought it was out on
today, the 18th! At least I got to skip classes.

It's out in most major cities today. I'm in a smaller town
and the store I goto here usually doesn't get games until a
day or two after their actual release date.

You could get it off me on Soulseek, I'm revolverjgw, it's
in the emulation folder along with many many other illegal
roms because I'm a cheap bastard.

I'd e-mail it to you or something, but it's like 6MB, too
big for my e-mail.

I'll going to take a trip up Walmart this afternoon, oh my

all i have to say is HOLY SHIT!

both games are just fucking phenomenal, nothing more to say,
metroid prime is one of the best games ive played in a
looooong time but im not very far either, I cant give it a
grade for sure until i complete it. fusion is an awesome
sequel to super metroid though. my god they outdid
themselves with these 2 metroid games I have no idea what
future metroids will be like now.

Well I've already beaten Fusion a couple days ago, and it IS
amazing. A bit linear, which is kind of a fault... but I
liked it like that, because I always got lost in the other
Metroids, no computer guy to tell me what to do and where to
go.

I was at Wal-Mart looking at the GBA games today, and
they're all about 45 dollars! Jesus.

Buy Metroid Prime right now. If your local store is closed,
break in and leave the cash on the counter. If you don't
have any cash, leave an IOU.

My ONLY complaint is that the music is too detailed at
times.. The minimalism of past Metroid soundtracks is what
gave the games their unforgetable eerie atmosphere -- To
this day I still get chills down my spine whenever I hear
the theme music from the original.

prime is so awesome, ive played for 2 hours and im only
7%...im on the boss where you gotta knock all the
heater\lights off of the boss\flower and then bomb it with a
morph ball. (i cant beat this boss , I can get past 3 whole
lights on him but i die when all 4 are up)

how far are you guys in prime?

think you get the bombs... It's the place with that stone

maybe sprites are simply a better medium for videogames.

I'm having a bit of fun playing Soul Reaver on DC, though.
It's cool cuz you're evil and kill evil creatures and eat
their souls. so far, it seems lacking in the number of
enemies, and too confusing 3-d environment where u feel like
you need a map. doom 2 is still way better. but this is the
first game i played in a long time where it has a doom2
potential, and with lotsa tweaking could be much better.

i'm facing a dilemma here:

should i get a ps2 for gta

or

a game cube for metroid prime?

i wouldn't mind having both, but i'd find it more convenient
of both games were on one system. i guess it's better that
it's like this tho to maintain the competition in the video
game industry..

I'm a few steps ahead of you in Prime; feel free to ask the
venerable Cabbog any questions you might have. I finally
sat down and played Fusion for a few minutes today - it's
good but it deviates a lot from the traditional Metroid
feel.. The color pallete is more exotic and the animation
style seems different. Haven't played it enough to form a
real opinion yet though.

Staying up late playing Metroid will make you gay. My mom
was waking me up to goto church with her this morning and I
was trying to scan her to find a weak spot.

Haha, I'm about to leave for church... this sucks.

I'm got the power bombs and now I'm traversing the planet
looking for weak spots. I beat Fusion a long time ago, got a
head start on it with the ROM. Not as good as Super Metroid,
but a lot less frustrating, because you always know where to
go... that takes a lot away from that lonely, scary feeling,
I think.

By the way, if you're REALLY stuck and feeling hopeless, go
Here

I swear to God I haven't used it yet! It's not even as far
as I am.
