It's A-ha: "Take me on". It's hillarious, he did a shorter
edit of that track last summer for a Violent Turd
compilation of plunderphonic Missy Ellliottt "Get Ur Freak
On" remixes where he leaves out ragmuffin, Sabbath and
everything and he kicks directly from Missy Elliott to A-ha.
Fantastic, made me fucking scream with joy the first time I
heard it.

Hmmm, well he does love his bass guitar. He did a lot of
granulating on it, agreed but the tracks that are good are
good because he was able to organise his sounds well. Some
are just lame ambient/ musique concrete stabs tho...

Of course .. stupid of me to forget I know.

Slightly off topic:

Are you still reading Derrida, or have you finished? I just
started today - fuck. Starts off ok, and then about 10 pages
into it .. its pretty demanding.

Back on topic:

Lesser is magic also.

akay .. i wasn't meaning to bag jenkinsons use of the bass,
but some of the stabs sounded a bit uncomplementary with the
rest of the stuff.. But i'll have to listen proper before I
make more preposterous claims.

Let's just answer both your posts in one.

Yeah, I'm still rwaing Derrida and, yeah I had the same
exact feeling: 10 pages in and you have no fucken idea what
he's on about. But persevere and it starts to make sense.
Slowly...

And Tom Jenkinson probably just put this double CD together
as his contract breaker with WARP, hence its extremes. Studo
tracks are scrapped off the bottom of his HDD (but still
good most of them) and the Live CD would be kinda exciting
to have as a pirate thing, but not as a real release.

Yeah, perserverance is the key. I think i see his point ..
but we'll see.

Re: []< .. lets hope so. Just can't wait for these MEN
releases, sounds v. v. promising ?

Yes, he managed to pull out of a kind of a creative downer
(budakhan mindphone, maximum priest, selection 16 all were
hit and miss at best) with a fantastic album and I hope he
still has his creative juices flowing.

Meho:
hehe.. apparently at some conference, someone was
introducing Derrida, and his mother, who was there also
astounded asked Derrida - Did you spell difference wrong?

Apparently "différance" has now been added to the latest
edition of the Oxford English dictionary

Yeah, imagine the fucking trouble his translators over here
(and everywhere else I imagine) must go through to get a
proper translation. Especially hard in our case as our
alphabet does not allow for multiple spellings of the same
sounding word. That fucker really likes to stirr shit up.
BTW, have you ever heard of Slavoj Zizek?
