I managed to get the mp3s (176mb), if you leave it long
enough after pressing dowload it eventually does it.

finished it a few minutes ago. i am not one to toss an album
into the bin after one listen though, as i have experienced
several "growers" that i have started to like after weeks or
months.

it's just that these guys are since quaristice maintaining
this highly abstract, mostly atonal sound which is just so
hard to "get into". well i envy them a little for finally
having found "their style" which they seem very comfortable
with, but it's just not my cup of tea. it is nice to see
some cohesiveness, but the thing i loved the most about
their albums was that everyone of them was so completely
different and fresh, yet being unmistakeably autechrish. the
other thing is that i kind of miss their very "surgical" and
cold mathematical approach, rather than this new organic and
off-beat stuff.

furthermore, one thing that i came to realise is that from a
producer standpoint their sound has become somewhat
"simple". it's minor things like for example this specific
convolution reverb they are overusing on their last three
albums as if it would really be that worth it. the most
impressive thing about e.g. draft 7.30, ep7, and the likes
was that to this day i have prety much NO CLUE how most of
the tracks were made. this is a very personal note as this
doesn't apply to people not having any technical knowledge,
however i can imagine that a lot of people "feel it".

"deco Loc" sounds pretty fucking mechanical. And this track
is probably my favorite track.

I could imagine how an Elektron Machinedrum + Octatrack
could have been heavily used in making this particular
track.

i agree with you, sadist,
without knowing too much about that technical part...
i respect them for keeping their personal and quality
experimental sound, and not falling into the raw-dancefloor
trade imperating nowadays,
but i guess its not an album i will listen too much...

something seomthing something, and B.Purdie "everybody's
talkin'"

I need my AKG K-701 for this...but I also need a better
headphone amp. Hell, this release should COME with a new
headphone amp, because this is complex and detailed shit. I
only wish it was mastered by...jimmi Hendrix or
something...so I guess I agree with you on some level there,
sadist. Maybe the vinyl sounds just right (i've only heard
the 2 opening tracks so far, very cold and quaristish
sound).

This is gonna take a LOT of work, but that's what we like
about this anyway so...cheers!

I've listened to it twice now and think it's great. Plenty
of standout tracks and great sounds throughout.

listening too it on bleep a little bit, not to spoil the
whole package.
Im uplifted with every track... As always, Sean & Rob
deliver their genius creations. I've only listened too 5
tracks having to click the play button every 10 seconds, and
im enjoyed it like a kid unwrapping his xmas gift on xmas
morning.

if you play it with a good sub you'll mistakenly think
someone's knocking at the door at least four times during
the course of the album

I like all the tracks on first listen. 1 1 is was probably
the standout, along with spl9 and deco Loc.

same branch that is Autechre of course.
