Steinvord

Stein Vord

STEINbolt (Squarepusher track)
VORDhosbn (Aphex Twin track)

is this why people think he's a squarepusher clone on one
side, and an Aphex clone on the other?

Steinvord = Venetian Snares and Aphex Twin?
Lowenek = The Tuss

What do you reckon Suzy?

Venetian Snares is a guy who gets his gear by paying Circuit
Benders in need of commisions

If there's a person who can't get out of his own style is
VS, even with vintage gear it would still sound like VS.

There really good tunes but i don't think its Aphex.
Maelstrom sounds like he or she has sampled Ultravisitor and
Go! Spastic and cut up all the sounds with some processing
and made a new tune out of it. When it drops the amens sound
SO Go Plastic but just with a new compressor all over them

Although maybe thats Aphex trying to throw you off

lol, okay, untitiled 97 is definately not afx. it starts of
as a melody from mars ripoff, but the mixing is totally
different as well as the stereo field(&fmt=18). Then it just
has some weird drums going on that are totally not in style
at all. The drums are the givaway as well as the way it
transitions. And the end then goes into a totally Future
tuss/analord era detuned synth ending which is just icing on
the cake. Its a silly song, and it sucks.

The S Club 7 fab (sic) Forum would be far preferable

at the gash over patently non-Richard D James fan boy, not
all that, wankery.

I know who the author of these tracks is. Some things I can
say is these tracks are far from being his latest stuff,
neither necessarly his "main" stuff. They where made in the
crappiest gear you'll be able to imagine. Im talking about
years ago. I dont know what his recent stuff sounds like, or
if he has been working on something lately at all. Yes, he
is really a kid, so you can imagine he has been into this
for a while. The quality of these tracks is obvious, and he
has never sampled other artists, which is a ridiculous claim
that some seem like to believe. At this rate, if he takes
this seriously, with a couple of years and if he manages to
get his hands on real gear, I see him capable of anything.

On a side note, I doubt he has ever remixed a 'Flying Lotus'
track.

i find the easiest way to tell fake from genuine is the most
obvious, namely the lack of narrative in the melodies "fake"
tracks often suffer from. even if its just pretty simple
acid its quite easy to spot the "omg i'm gonna get away with
this" vibe. i have planned to listen to music tomorrow again
in the morning. and also on another yet undetermined
occasion next week in sequences decreasing exponentially so
the time after that will be next summer, and after that next
time will be early spring 2015 or so, etc.. bottom line is,
i expect the steinvord debate and the konclaver whatever
issue to be cleared off the table by then.

To me, "untitled 97" sounds exactly like another song, the
opening melody I mean. Any idea what it is? It's driving me
crazy!
