I like a few Steinvord tracks, and I think particularly the
ones that happen to sound like RDJ are the better ones. Iyff
Acid Edit sounds quite Tuss-y at times, but the shite and
uninspired looping/stuttering in the track sounds more like
a Tom Jenkinson wank than RDJ's style. Overall though, the
track's pretty nice. Maelstrom is a shitty avant-garde
jungle attempt that sounds unflatteringly like a combined
VSnares and Squarepusher ripoff. Ontrack V2 is a shitty
zany-jungle shambles with tasteless Amen usage and
absolutely mind numbing melody and synths. Room is plain
boring and could be anybody. Rules the Read II is a nice and
groovy one, though it's sounds quite like a Tuss copycat,
with some Liam Howlett in there too. Untitled is quite a
blast, it sounds like a precursor to Death Fuck by the Tuss
in several sections, melody and percussion wise, and is
heavily drukqs influenced with the percussion palette in
particular. Untitled 9 is a lovely one, probably my
favourite, and it's the least direct rip of a particular
track or album, while being blatantly RDJ inspired. The
first section of Untitled 97 does my fucking head int, and
the lead is a shit throwback to the careless melodies from
early-mid 90's RDJ stuff. The second half is fantastic
though.
Anyway I mostly just want to get the thread going a bit as
I'm intrigued by this ripoff merchant and want to hear some
more if it's out there

ive learned to like this album,
cause at the beggining i was a bit disappointed for the lack
of good melodies... i guess its more about atmosphere and
wildness
+
i dont think the authory mistery will ever be cleared,
but i think its more interesting wondering why is there a
lockedgroove on the vinyl (thats not really a lockedgroove,
just a stop to separate track playing) between track 2 and 3
(side A).

Does it mean something? Can it be related to the authory
thing (implying tracks by 2 authors. or 3)? Is it a
practical thing, like something for djying and avoid track
playing afterwards? It is just to fuck with listeners and
make me standup and extra time? or just a pressing mistake?
whatever, its fun to think about it and wonder about the
intentions behind it

they say certain people are able to hear a woman scream in
that pause. as a matter of fact the record will save the
world one day and this pause is largely responsible for
this.

:)

maybe you have to play all the copies lockedgrooves at once
to make the scream audible and save the world from martians
attack...

now u mention it, there's a 'unreleased' JK track that
Rinzence Radio played which partly kinda reminded me a bit
of steinvord, but maybe he jus liked the sound
---twas a bit of a stormer

heh though this cauldron is probably past stirring ?
whats all this stuff about skrillex/fans ? had a look today
and apparrently they are all sitting about waiting for the
drop on it or somesuch

steve,

a dubstep track is rated in drops per minute, using a unit
known as the skrillex. if it has four drops/minute it's a
4-skrillex track. time spent waiting for the drop is
inversely proportional to the track's skrillexitude.
