But answer Jivver's question also.....
And since he pushed my buddy Pomme De Terre, Ill have nothing good to say about him anymore, ever if he does put out the #1 selling record in the world.

Sounds like every Squarepusher album ever, he makes micro advances in some wanky direction maybe but who cares? So he's great at slap bass, so he can mix it up with that rising synth thing in the background... again. So he can talk it up like someone else said wMw might do whilst dozing off mid wank,,,,... if there's an audience for this shit I never want to meet any of them, apart from Hobbes. Jesus Tom, yes Jungle was good, jazz is shit, and you weren't able to pull either off, no one gives a shit.

...after making the tracks "port rhumbus" & "squarepusher theme" Tom should have taken up writing instead. He knows his way with words and still hasn't made even ONE tune of that quality since then...
(great that he abandoned the amen break finally, but why did he replaced it with wafer-thin real drums instead?!? wtf?)

haha, A Real Woman is actually pretty funny, isn't it? Contrary to the common opinion, I think it's one of the best tracks here.
I'll probably end up loving this album, who knows.
I think this album is just a load of fun, but it still feels a bit embarrassing. It sounds like it's all happening in some garage or really shitty studio somewhere - or, like Tom says, some HOTEL ROOM.
But I don't want to listen to shitty bands on tour playing shitty music in shitty hotel rooms! It's like Rolling Stones when they weren't any good.
And it can't even be prog when the tracks are so short. It's some weird carnival music, or punk with irony.
OK, but it's a perception thing.
Maybe the solution is a dose of ethanol.

A long track doesn't necessarily mean it's prog. A short track doesn't necessarily mean it's not prog.
Though a bit mad and at times rather silly, i think it's a good album. I can understand some not liking it but as far as some saying it's the worst album they've ever heard! I'm surprised.

you're right that track length doesn't make a track progressive, and some of the best king crimson songs are short, but i'd just rather call it punk psychedelia or something... Songs like A Real Woman and Glass Road are very prog-influenced, I will admit, but i just think the other tracks are more jams than star trips.

Sorry, I forgot that one can't criticise anything unless they produce something that is objectively "better". I just voiced my opinion once on some niche messageboard, I hardly think Pusher's sales will be affected by me saying that I don't like it. I don't like it. It may well be good, Jesus might like it, I don't know, but in my opinion, anyone who would wilfully listen to this fucking nightmare is a fucking nightmare. Now fuck off.

Pusher has himself said that he likes that some (most) people don't like what he does, as it proves he's only for the elect, so I'm just fulfilling my role by saying "I think it's shit" therefore making him better and me untermensch.

that's a little harsh innit? Gotta give the man some credit even if you dont like the music. He created an album in less than 6 months that sounds like 6 men rock band. I dont think wMw could have come up with any of that. Anyway, that's not the point! I reckon the man deserves credit for his creativity and adventuring ...

I like the fact some of the tracks sound like a Zappa influenced remix of the Rhubarb & Custard theme tune. It's a shame they're not very good though.
I can think of people who will enjoy this, unfortunately I am not one of them. Fits in well with current warp releases.
Good job Rephlex are still bringing out fantastic stuff! (Rodulate, anyone? - YES PLEASE)
