Indeed, gots to be the Riddler, and with the way this new Batman series has played out, that character could be another creative revelation. This movie is soooo good |

I know many people have a difficult time taking Carrey serious in dramatic roles because of his slapstick past, but I really wouldn't mind if he were given a second chance at the role. I think he has enough experience under his belt now to pull off a difficult role, but I'm sure the question everyone has is, would he share the level of commitment to the character that Ledger had as Joker? If Carrey were truly willing to bring his acting career to a new level, I think he could be fantastic as the Riddler. |

I think a very cool villain for the next one could be Hugo Strange. If anyone remembers how the second movie ended, it would be a perfect setup to introduce this character. One of my favorite stories is a 4 part called Prey that was in Legends of the Dark Knight in the early 90s. Its set in the early years of Batman. There is a lot of controversy surrounding Batman in the media, and this psychologist, Hugo Strange, is one of the people speaking out against him. He ends getting involved with this special task force the mayor sets up to capture Batman. And so there is the whole drama with Gordon trying to help Batman but keep it on the dl while Hugo Strange is slowly figuring out who Batman might be, and at the same time poisoning the media against him. Anyway it gets pretty mental and I think Hugo Strange ends up capturing women and making them wear a batman mask while he has his way with them, and then he ends up dressing like batman. He hypnotizes the cop who leads the task force and has the biggest hard on against Batman to dress up as a ninja and go out and kill criminals, and then people blame it on Batman. I dunno it gets nuts but it would be perfect for a 3rd movie. |

i would absolutely cream my pants if they decided to make a film(s) based upon the story arc. bane is one of my all time favorite super-villains because of that series. the depiction they gave of him in batman & robin is flat out criminal (a grunting, incapable muscle thug as opposed to the genius who managed to free all the criminals in arkham asylum and come the closest to killing batman than any of the dark knight's other nemeses) and i would love to see a redemption along the lines of the one they almost provided dent/two-face. |

starts well then goes downhill about half way thru the end Zzzzz best batman tho, HL is giid in it, morgan freeman does my head in in every film he's in, anyone in driving miss daisy should be shot |

I have absolutely no desire to see this whatsoever. I love movies, think Heath Ledger is (was) brilliant, but eh... the first one was fucking bollocks in my opinion. I see Bale's still doing the "voice" as well, what a pile of crap (Ledger's sounds good though). I thought Cillian Murphy was the only good thing about the first one. I'll wait a few months and get a dvd rip off my mate, and even then I bet I fall asleep halfway through. Wow how negative is that? Still, I had ta say it like. |

outstanding film, kind of like the first one only 10 times better... and no more Katie Holmes thank god, the new actress was much better, i'd have a really tough time picking flaws in this film, its one of the few films that is pretty much spot on. Watchmen had better be at least half as good as this! |

yeah, i was gonna mentiont he watchmen trailer... looks promising, but it's gonna be hard to do the comic/graphic novel justice. still, despite being a year away, it looked pretty polished. the dark knight was brilliant. the scene with the joker with his head outside the car as he was driving was just brilliant. oh and a kid was sat next to me at the cinema and he totally shat himself when the joker screamed "LOOK AT ME" even when hes angry, he causes a chuckle! |

the writing seems contrived, i didn't really like anything in the movie, i didn't like any actor except heath ledger who was brilliant: morgan freeman: cliche, always the same role, christian bale: i can't stand his face, he looks like george w bush, michael cane: boring, that two face guy: bad, the girl: okay but forgetable (i actually forgot) i'm forever done with superhero movies (except for my hero spider-man (tobey macguire: yea!, kirsten dunst: i love you, sam reimi: one of my favorite directors), maybe i'll go see the next mummy movie, that trailer looked cool |

Just saw it. Wow, sucks that Heath is gone. His performance in this movie was the best villain yet. Even when he made me laugh it was from a deep feeling of unease. His performance as the Joker has been quite hyped, but in this case I feel it was justified. |

there are obvious reasons why The Dark Knight is number 1 on imdb... its position will settle a little lower but I expect it will be amongst the top 25-50 films still. As for Godfather, can you say overrated... which goes for most of the other films on the imdb |

if the godfather was released last month more net savvy people would see it and vote and .: it would still be number one. imdb should revise the ranking equation and -1 overall for films released very recently, or something like that. |

yea I don't think Godfather is anything like the greatest film of all time, but I don't think the Dark Knight is nowhere near equally important a film, even if it's perhaps the best comic hero movie of all time. If it "settles down" somewhere in the lower range of Top 250, I won't mind that much. It's not in my personal top 50, although I like it a lot. |

i really think Nolan should quit while hes ahead. the critical praise for this film was an extreme fluke and it probably would be considered a B- movie in most critics minds had Heath not died. nolan please don't make another batman movie, well maybe it would be ok if you did as long as you made batman speak in a normal tone of voice |

i hate this movie, i hate the way it's written, i already said that but I'm drunk and I'm saying it again imdb people are just idiots and critics are just blinded because so many crap superhero movies came out so they welcomed this one like a new messiah everything about this movie is average at best, except heath's performance. though his performance was quite unique, every bad guy in all the batman films were extremely cool because actors really like to play such an outrages non-realistic roll for a change. that ledger's performance was something else altogether, a genuine psychopath, doesn't make the movie better. imo it's a strange mash of realism, extremely boring 'smart' storytelling and good actor performances. it's sad that hollywood came to this |

Yea, it's not a masterpiece but there were some brilliant things in it, from ledger's performance to the pacing of the film and the symbolic aspects of the story. I thought the ending was brilliant, too. |
