yea, if anyone thought the first one was a tad slow, this
one is not at all. it starts out with a lot going on and
maintains a good pace throughout.

i don't mind that you don't see batman for half of the movie
in begins, and i don't mind the slow burn ambiance, but i
understand why some people have the yea, it was pretty
good, better than the others but..
reaction.

begins may have been just a little bit more successful if
they would have shown batman earlier in the film. instead
of formating the story so that the origin is told by bruce
telling ducard about his family etc., they could have shown
batman catch a crook or 2, then remember back to what
happened and include his training with ducard in with that.

in any case if they didn't quite hit their full stride in
the last film they hit the ground running in this one.

Ok, I loved the Tim Burton chapters in the Batman movies...
I think Joel Shoefucker should be hung for those abortions
on film.

but Batman Begins & The Dark Knight are really really good.
But I'm wondering where the fuck they're going to go next.
I mean, Ra's al Ghul and his network were human beings, the
joker doesn't have any supernatural or mutant powers... the
scarecrow was done pretty well... but they've done enough
with plants/toxins to do another movie using poison ivy.
Firefly seems like a natural choice... but its just a
pyromaniac... anyone have a clue where they might go? Maybe
a better riddler...

its how the rating system works with new films. everyone who
rates it gives it a 10 or 9 out of ten and it sky rockets to
the top. over the time more people will vote and it'll fall
back into a more understable position.
no biggy :)

that movie took itself way too seriously

i couldnt get into it

the way batman talks seemed so cheesy and fake and stupid to
me. "hey i am going to take like i just smoked 100
cigarettes"

heath ledger stole the movie. no one should ever be payed
again to play the part of joker - heath ledger perfected it

The strongest elements of 2008 joker are the WRITING and
make up. The writers are the ones who have created this
amazing character, and the make up is truly inspired, I
loved ledger, don't get me wrong he was great, but with a
character like that, it was always going to be great.
Nicholson on the other hand... Best example of acting
EVER!!

Ha shit sorry for the exaggerations, it's the only way I
know how to express myself.

They had an outline for a third movie. Supposedly it was
going to deal with the trial of the joker and have more of a
focus on dent, making 2 and 3 a 2-part story. Not sure if
they will do that now, depends on if they would replace
Ledger or not.

They had toyed with the idea of having the penguin in this
one as an arms dealer, but maybe they will do that for a
third movie? The riddler could be cool. He shouldn't have
the ? outfit, but if its scenarios where batman has to solve
riddles to figure out where bombs or hostages are it could
work. Kinda like Die Hard 3 but better. They would have to
be careful though because that's almost an action movie
cliche.

Batman Begins wast spectacular but at least it had a solid
flow and script. Dark knight was just messy muddled and all
over the place, the joker was totally short changed. This
was NOT the joker's movie like people are going around
claiming. If it had been it would have been fucking awesome.

"the way batman talks seemed so cheesy and fake and stupid
to
me. "hey i am going to take like i just smoked 100
cigarettes" "

yeah WTF was with that. Lets have Bale one of the most
hailed actors to helm the batman character talk in a fucking
YELLING RASPY BOSTONIAN ACCENTED VOICE!!!

that was seriously one of the most distracting aspects of
the film for me, i would have been happier if batman just
kept fucking quiet.

I think he just changes his voice to sound scarier to
criminals and also to disguise it. He mostly uses it when
he is talking to criminals, the police, someone who might
try to identify him. He doesn't always use it. I dunno it
didn't bother me any.

Jokers magic trick
the way the batpod was introduced
heath ledger obviously
Aaron Eckhart's performance was incredible too, he actually

Watched this last night.

Overall I thought it was amazing. The best batman movie yet.

Infact my only issue with it was bales wraspy batman voice,
it gets old fast. I know its to mask his identity but shit,
it added such an air of fakeness.

As for another batman movie to come, me and my friends did
some talking and we think the only suitable villian to use
now would be riddler.

These batman remakes are far too serious for a penguin man
or mr freeze. Cat woman has been done too much, and poison
ivy's edge was already done with scarecrow.

It would be funny if Jim Carry did riddler again, except in
his more serious 23esque style.

long but damn good all the same.

of course it's no batman returns, but i watched this like i
watched indiana jones 4, not comparing it to the classics.

seems like Heath made the ultimate sacrifice for this role,
if you look into how much preparation he put into it and
some of the interviews he gave about it, you can understand
that it must have taken it's toll on him personally.

i mean he owns this role, he doesn't even draw comparisons
to nicholson because he literally owns it, and i remember
thinking that just from seeing the trailer before his
death.

i would go as far to say that it is one of the best
performances from an actor that i have seen.

from imdb:

To prepare for his role as the Joker, Heath Ledger lived
alone in a hotel room for a month, formulating the
character's psychology, posture and voice (the last one he
found most difficult to do). He started a diary, in which he
wrote the Joker's thoughts and feelings to guide himself
during his performance. He was also given Alan Moore's comic
"Batman: The Killing Joke" and "Arkham Asylum: A Serious
House on Serious Earth" to read. Ledger also took
inspiration from A Clockwork Orange (1971)'s Alex and Sid
Vicious.

also, how is this no.1 on imdb top 250 of all time????!!!!!
