it would be sweet if we could wrap it up by christmas. but yeah, i don't think adding a bit of continuity would take that long. mostly it depends on how quickly and smoothely the last few remixers complete their tracks and whether we try to fill a full 80min or cut it short at like 65-70. i don't know, what do you all think? i guess i'll start contacting all the people on my alternates list and see who is still interested in rocking with us. |

i mean.... its fine with me if we just did it now. 80 minutes or 70, dont matter to me... and we could always someday do a sequel, if it was recieved well and people wanted to come back for it. the possibilities are endless. but its your call. do what you think will be the best idea. |

yo, i'm back from a week in San Francisco. picked up some sweet vinyl and a nice t-shirt from kid robot. so i can start crackin the whip again. so just to clarify: i have about 50 minutes of stuff. once i get mixes from the final confirmed people, we will be at about 60+ minutes. i suppose, to be fair, i should at least make an attempt at contacting the people on my alternates list but if they are no longer interested, or too busy, i'll just wrap it up and we'll all have a bit of tasty listening to do. |

ok, lil update: pomme de terre has files from skink and is currently working on his track. i have e-mailed ambsace and Theo himself. theo will be doing a track using ambsace's files. after that... well i'll probably try to add at least one more mixer (possibly more) after pomme and then tibbar will wrap it up. then a bit of album arranging by me; normalizing, crossfading, and continuity, and we got a finished product. |

lil update, Pomme and Theo Himself are currently working on their tracks. I have sent them messages asking about their progress but have not recieved any response yet. after pomme, _user will be mixing under the name "obscure." then depending on time, I may or may not add another mixer or 2 and then it goes to tibbar yadda yadda. ETA: Realistically, i don't see this finishing up before the end of the year. but if it goes too much longer, i'm just going to wrap it up. I realize that at this point, some people have been waiting a looooong ass time, and deserve to hear the finished product. So, if you have not been specifically assigned a spot in the line up at this point, you probably will not get one. I know that kinda sucks to those that had their hopes up for a spot, but yo. i agree with evolume that this thing needs to wrap itself up soon. it has gone by alot more quickly than initial plans seemed to indicate, but... it needs to be here for our holiday enjoyment, dangit! if there's enough interest perhaps (PERHAPS, NO PROMISES) there may be a sequel in the future. as well as contributing the final track, i will be humbly doing the final mix... with the intent to achieve utmost flow & cohesion betwixt these tracks. i don't think that will take very long, once i have all the tracks laid out. seriously... maybe 3 days work, tops. |
