But immigrant labour is needed to do a lot of the service sector jobs that many people here won't do. Or the dangerous
work like the cockle-pickers in Morecambe.
You really do type some shit...the cockle picking isn't all that dangerous, the Chinese workers died because they where having to do their work at a time of day they wouldn't get seen as they where here illegally. They had no official training for the job and probably didn't have the proper safety equipment.
The reason there are jobs for immigrant workers is because companies get cheap as fuck labour and don't have to worry about worker conditions of employment. While there is this type of labour available there will always be people willing to employ them. As soon as these people get a legal right to stay here and ahve to pay tax they become unemployable.
As for having enought money for the war etc. This again isn't necessarily true. Theus now have a 1 trillion dollar deficite partly due to this so called war.
I agree there is a huge amount that could be done to strip some beauracracy, but lets not forget that this would lead to higher unemployment.
Jonesy you arguement about the more people working the better is rubbish. The more people working doesn't necessarily lead to a richer country, as the richer people are the higher inflation goes and the value of the pound gets pushed up, which leads to major export/import difficulties etc. etc. Everythings ot always as easy as it seems.

now, i realise i may have simplified the points i was making about immigration. but its not as clear cut as you make out either.
oh, and by the way - without economic migration i would never have been born. so dont think that im sat here in my ivory tower trying to keep all foreigners out.
the whole immigration is not as simple as that. like most things in life, its a big grey area.
anyway, thats all irrelevant to this subject : the man in question was not an economic migrant. he was not contributing to the nation's wealth. he was an illegal immigrant+thus should NOT have been here.
he was irresponsible in driving a car without legal paperwork (which he could never have obtained.. being an illegal alien)
and he was irresponsible for fleeing the scene of the accident.
when shit happens you have to accept responsibility for it.
for failing to accept his responsibilities, he should be punished.

Asylum seekers are not allowed to work. My g/f taught English to doctors, lawyers, mechanics and many skilled workers who were prohibited from working and contributing to our economy because politicians would rather gain political mileage from scapegoating asylum seekers.

He he, yes, nature is definately pretty Nazi. This view of it as a benevolant, just and motherly force is not entirely accurate :)

They aren't allowed to work while their assylum application is being processed, which is quite right.
Actually...fuck everyone...get out of my fucking country now...I want the population to be me and me alone, with fit females sent over regularly until I am bored.

A growth in GDP does not lead to inflation. Where did you get that from?
A more productive society produces more goods at a time when more people are working. Therefore people have the money to buy the goods on the market and prices are kept low. It is when a society is NOT highly productive that prices rise as demand grows for fewer goods and services.

So you're a sex-starved loner as well as an ignorant fool. No wonder you are full of anger and resentment.

And where exactly do you get the impression I am a sex starved loner who is full of anger and resentment?
Let's face it, you are just a sad little cunt who thinks that by disagreeing with everything that is written in the tabloid press you are somehow right about everything.
Explain where exactly I have displayed ignorance in this topic? Ignorance = not agreeing with you?
My inflation arguement was in respect to exported goods with the rise in value of the domestic currency in world markets...which fair enough I shitted up what I typed.

"I want the population to be me and me alone, with fit females sent over regularly until I am bored."
Apart from being sexist it displays a yearning for female company.
But I'm getting petty here. I'll knock it off.
