EPISODE II WILL BE GREAT !!!!

This was an article printed in my local paper...

"By now we have read that the new "Star Wars" movie is
better than the last one, but it could consist entirely of
Yoda Q-tipping his ears for two hours (wax have I, yesssss)
and it would be better than that last one. Still, I am not
hopeful, and I have good reasons:

George Lucas writes dialogue duller than a preschooler's
scissors. George Lucas cannot direct actors; fine talent
comes across so wooden that you expect the characters to die
from Dutch Elm disease rather than lightsaber wounds. George
Lucas cannot pace a movie; he simply shuffles back and forth
between stories, leaning on John Williams' score to supply
the drama. To repeat: can't write, can't direct, can't pace.
These would seem to be liabilities in a movie director.

And if all you diehard geeks want to disagree, stop and
realize that you know I am right. The first movie was great.
The second was wonderful. The third had teddy bears in it.
If you want to believe in a big, mythic tale that not only
ends with singing teddy bears but has all the dead
characters show up as ghosts to smile at the teddy bears and
wave bye-bye, then you are still 13 years old. Grow up!

And yes, I'll be there on opening day. And yes, I'll be
there for Episode Three, as well, even if Episode Two ends
with Jar Jar Binks blowing up the Death Star for the 19th
time. I'm pathetic.

I'll open up the floor now to you. Weigh in. Defend the
teddy bears, or rip into what you have heard of the new
movie with the gusto of a fan who can take no more
betrayal."

I thought the end of Jedi was really heart-warming. The glow
around the dead Jedis was really emotive. And as for those
teddy bears; how cutesy wutesy. I wanted to eat them all up.

Roast Ewok is the dish for those with a more discerning
taste such as myself. The Ewok Rights lobby can just sod
off.

I was at the premiere last night. Kelly Brook asked me to
accompany her. It was apleasant evening but I didn't think
much of the film. That lad's hair looks utterly ridiculous.

Why does everyone have all these wild expectations for
Episode II/ star wars in general, they expect it to be the
best movie they've every seen in there life, and its
supposed to be "unpredictable" and all this crap, like they
have higher standards for star wars as apposed to other
movies. Its a contiuation of a story its not going to be
some thing completely different. He has to follow the story
and be creative along the way.

I liked Episode I phantom menace. everyone probably hated
it because the star role was a 9 year old, it was kind of
family oriented but star wars is not an R rated series
theres not a lot of unnecessary sex, violence etc, that
doesnt pertain to the story. It actually has a story thats
why it doesnt need that crap.

It 's kinda like when Drukqs came out and idiots like
rolling stone gave it 1 star i mean come on give me a break.
Other critics also gave it bad reviews. His piano work is
totally new and Fresh, innovative ahead of his time. I
think he has continually gotten better over time but how
much better can you get after I care because you do and RDJ.

I did not have any "wild expectations" at all.
When you read all these spy reports and watch all the clipps
you are pretty sure of what you are gonna love and what you
will critisise.
The movie was actualy better then i had expected.
i had not excpected the war scenes to be so fat!!!!! and the
obiwan Jango space chase.....jesus!!!!
The only complaints i have is that some things looked very
CG and some of the acting is horrible , but hey...its
starwars =) i think no one excpects any oscar performance.
Starwars fans will not be dissapointed=)
