my logic is right though you might fully disagree with it, maybe itll bring down sex crimes only 10% but that's still good anyway this isn't my main argument why im for prostitution, it was just something i wanted tridenti to think about. it's more that im liberal at this (where im not in the drugs thing apparantly) frankly i think this logic is bad: but then isn't legalizing prostitution kind of like if a government were to, say endorse men's right to a woman's body any time he feels like it? how's that philosophy gonna stop rape? because people won't be influenced that easily by the morals a government holds. |

I don't see what the motivation for this consent would have to do with anything - when is consent to have sex the right consent? when the woman says she loves the man? when she doesn't ask for money? |

you dumb fucks infuriate me, all i am trying to say is that it doesn't make sense for big to say, well the government can't allow drug use because what sort of message would that send and then say that the government can allow prostitution, because of course that sends no message at all! anyway if it came down to it i would put my vote towards legalizing prostitution because imo by bringing it to the surface people could maybe see how ugly it really is. it's not about the "right" consent at all because when a man stays rich and keeps a woman poor so that she will have to sell him sex, umm that kind of transcends consent. sure, she said yes, her personal choice etc, but look at the bigger picture please no potential rapists are going to see some woman that they fancy at a bar and decide, after getting a 'no', that, oh well, they can just purchase a hooker. umm....that is unrealistic. rapists don't rape because they got horny, everybody gets horny, not everybody rapes. rapists just think that they have some right mandated by god or something to the body of whichever woman is unlucky enough to be around. |
