with the decriminalisation of drugs comes the removal of a large part of the criminal underworld.. that is to say - if i were a dope-smoker here, as i was, i'd find it very easy to get my hands on ecstacy, heroin and cocaine. were it illegal, i'd be going down to a coffee-shop and buying from them. that's not to say i'd run into people selling other, harder drugs, but still, it means that there wouldn't be dope dealers who then push harder drugs onto the user. |

Is cigarette-smoking not a means to slowly kill yourself? Taking the most obvious case, weed for decriminalisation - it is impossible to kill yourself by using the drug. so why does it remain illegal? |

big, you dodged what i said. yea but legalising hard drugs is like saying it's ok to slowly kill yourself as a government governments have made cigarettes illegal. they ban harmless drugs like weed, and the more harmful ones (which could be controlled, in terms of quality, and amount sold, were they decriminalised) address what i've said though. you can't just say: yea im not talking about everything but weed, cigs and alcohol, the stuff that will make you stop being able to function like a human being should cigarettes do a pretty damn good job of stopping you function like a human being should: they put you six feet under. |
