ah but Progenies of the Great Apocalypse was a black metal
classic. Even I liked it and I detest that genre of music.

they do dress up in a pathetic way though. Long live
Mortiis, who was around before them and will continue to
make music long after they have been erased...from people's
memories at least.

what the fuck is Progenies of the Great Apocalypse? If it's
a dimmu album so new that I've never heard about then it's
got to be REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY CRAPPY
and much worse than the stuff I already detest them for.

And no offense to you, but the fact that someone would claim
it to be a black metal classic proves my initial point.

it's just one track but it's a very well executed one imho.
It draws upon the same sort of ideas that Mortiis used in
his 'Stargate' album, that is to say dark brooding noises in
the background together with horns and war drums to give the
song a sort of epic feel. It actually does have the effect
of making one feel they are in the middle of a great LOTR
style battle. Probably album filler for them but to me it
will always be a classic piece of music.

I wanted to say "none" and then insult DeleriousWeasel, but
then I thought of the Mars Volta.

Still, fuck you, DeleriousWeasel. You suck.

The Strokes. Then we wouldn't have had loads of shitty NME
bands crossing over in the last four years. And legions of
arrogant indie cunts swaggering around dressed like them.

BTW Delerious Weasel and Impakt, I like insane church
burning jesus hating nazi viking Norwegian black metal bands
too.

don't care enough for wanting them not to exist. but there

"The Doors, damn fine keyboards?! Another one of my
indie-loving friends said something similar and showed me a
keyboard solo from one of their CDs. It was appallingly
amatureish and naff sounding. "

i'm not a huge doors fan. but that guy plays the basslines
on his keyboard as well as the other organ lines. it's
really quite boss. so

Virg,
without the Beatles, there'd be might be no The Kinks and i
love that song "nothin in this world could stop me worryin'
'bout that girl." I love it.

plus the beatles were a household name while writing songs
about LSD.

yeah. you're way off here.

Oasis, there was so much cool stuff happening at the time, I
still don't get why they got so big when others (who weren't
Beatles cover bands) didn't. Although they have written some
good pop music I think they put british music on pause for
ten years and only now can other bands come out of the UK
without comparison.

And the Beatles aren't overrated. In fact, they're the only
band that's rated exactly as they should be, first.

I'd erase Alan Parson's Project.

When I hear that over-artistic music with too much reverb on
the drums. You know what it sounds like?
It sounds like the band is playing in the studio room and
the drummer is in a large basement with only one
microphone.

They just SUCK!

Thank you for your time and attention

how can people call thom yorke pretentious, i mean, he wrote
the songs on pablo honey, there's no way the man can think
much about himself.

and whoever thinks the beatles are overrated is either a
12-17 years and staring to get interested in music, or just
an arrogant prick who thinks he knows it all and is as
pretentious as thom yorke.

again, I would erase the beatles because, most of what you
hear nowadays is still the beatles. without them music would
be so totally different now, i'd just like to see what forms
would it take.
