zeus: you are SO wrong there. the number of "xltronic-haters" on watmm exceeds the number of "watmm-haters" on here. and they DO whining about it. and you got me completely wrong - i said there are specific people over there causing chaos and thereby making the rest of the forum look messy and you have to agree the number of trashy threads has increased during the last months? and whenever joyrex says something funny about xltronic you're the first person laughing ("got them there, joy! :-D ") i just hate discussions like this, but when a person is totally wrong about something i just can't let it go. |

it is really remarkable this discussion returns every now and then. I never visit the watmm forum, and well, yesterday i did. Perhaps it was a very bad timing, but there wasn't a single serious thread going on. And sorry but it was way too messy for me. So, i don't like it, but that's no reason to start whining about it over here... (except from this post heheh) Why can't we all just accept the other and post about music..... if you don't like the other forum, just don't go there. And if they flame you, post one big FUCK OFF back and pretend nothing has happened |

well, perhaps... but It doesnt seem so, at least to me. It seems that Im reading more threads here, about watmm sucking, then threads on watmm about xlt sucking. perhaps i am just in the wrong place at the wrong time? And no, Im not the first one laughing "you got em there joy!" Maybe it comes off that way, because me and joy are friends... He designed my site free of charge, and has been a big help to me. Obviously I like the guy. So maybe I am biased... but I really dont think I take his side on things sorry to bump this... but I wanted to clear this up. giginger: yeah, I did leave... well i go to both this sites quite a lot and ive been a member of xltronic and watmm for a long time; since aphextwin.nu v4 and since the old joyrex days. i dont really compare the two, or have a favorite of the two, but im going to have to agree with most of the stuff zeus has said. the hating is taken with less a sense of humour here by far, and there really does seem to be more watmm hating here than xlt hating going on there. i made that observation long ago. if people from watmm read this thread and make fun of us, then i wont blame them. this thread is just straight up retarded and it's making us all look bad. c'mon guys loosen up |

Its' like the fuckin' Jets vs the Sharks in West Side Story! Anyway, there's a bit of immaturity on both sides. Yes, WATMM DOES bash us with regularity. Their mods do it ad nauseum, just look at the topic Joyrex started concerning all the XLT topics. Full of XLT bashes, from the admins no less. But we're no angels here either, so I won't hold it against them... too much. I like WATMM, I've got almost 400 posts there (I think), but it's just not my style so I spend most of my time here. Let's turn our negative energy towards the Mu messageboard, not WATMM. That would be the mature thing to do. |

Maybe the stuff here seems less humourous to some of my transatlantic cousins because there are far more European and rest of the world people here who have a different sense of humour to those on the North American continent. Sarcasm can come across as quite harsh even if it is meant in a completely light hearted way if you don't 'get' that type of humour, and from personal experience alot of North Americans don't |

Yeah, I think WATMM has a higher percentage or North Americans... Joy is a Texan, Fred McGriff, Theocide, Spatula, TSMuch, Chengod, Essines, etc... I think more of their regs are from here. Whereas we've got a lot of Yuropeens here... moreso than they do I think. There's definitely a different ''feel'' to the humor of each site. I feel safer here, amongst sweethearts like Dobbin, Jarworski, and Bill_Hicks. That's the impression I get, though I may be wrong since I don't spend TOO much time there. |
