evolume, Well it does sadden me that people just aren't open enough to knew ideas because they might find them to difficult to appreciate. I mean a lot of people on this board are very quick to criticise the masses for not being open minded enough about sodding IDM or whatever. But the fact is that music is not the be all and end of life. Being open minded means a lot more than just having a tunnel vision of music. It means being open to all aspects of life, business, politics and relationships. And a lot of people on this board tend to slip quite easily into very hackneyed ways of thinking. So they aren't as radical and open minded as they'd like to think. We all have our comfort zones and that is what limits people, not a question of being open minded at all. |

to the people thinking that mira calix has been signed to warp purely because of who she's married with i'll propose to check out the wonderfull work she presented with the london symphonietta orchestra the evening they were playing warp stuff... and if you don't like it fine... but ask yourself why there was only 4 warp artists represented there : Aphex,Boc,Squarepusher and Mira herself do you think the people performing with her don't at least recognize her as an artist? and therefore people REALLY enjoy and value her stuff... opinions, opinions.... |

She looks different in different pictures, depending on if it was a professional photo or not; most anyone can look good if it's a professional shooting. She looks hot in that first one (that's my preference in women), but the other one, and others i've seen; no. And I have skimskitta, it sounds very amateurish, that's the best description i can think of. |
