it's one thing to knowingly and purposefully inhale a proven
carcinogen into your own body. thats your decision. but to
get mad if your co-workers don't want to be subject to that
same carcinogen is just rediculous.
If you want to shorten up your own life span, wrinkle up
your own skin, and pack your own lungs full of tar go right
ahead. just don't ask me to participate. especially at
work, a place where i must go every day to earn a living.

i too am suspicious of the stats presented on the number of
deaths related to second hand smoke each year and i don't
doubt that the number is inflated. But there is no question
that cigarette smoke is a carcinogen and it's easy enough to
allow smokers to smoke where i don't have to breath it.
just bring a friggin warmer jacket and an umbrella or
fucking quit smoking. easy as that.

Who's done more research than the good people at the
American Tobacco Industry? They say its harmless. Why would
they lie? If you're dead, you can't smoke.

You would say that. You're an american. All americans think
that they have a god given right to live forever.

if someone at work farted everywhere and stank of shit the
whole time it would not be tolerated.

smoking stinks and i don't see why it should be inflicted on
non-smokers.

it's kind of a coincidence that the smokers i know are
inconciderate in practically all aspects of theirs lives.

if you think smokers should be allowed to poison my air at
work, then i should be allowed to poison their food.
sounds fair to me.

Nonsense of course. If there was no effect in second hand
smoke, why would the pot smoking technique known as
"blowback" work? Do you think because one person has
breathed it, it filters out all the harmful chemicals and
the smoke they blow out is completely pure?

Even if it's harmless, it smells unpleasent and makes your
eyes sting.

The analogy I always use is that not everyone likes vodka. I

love it. If smokers can get away with blowing smoke in my
face, I should be able to spit vodka in their mouths... it's

second hand alcohol darling, don't you know it can't have
any harmful effects now?

It's a great analogy. I prefer this one. I'm cutting a
carrot. You say you don't like smoking but like carrots. I
shit in your shoes and shove the carrot up your arse. Simple
as that.

There is a major difference in the toxicity of second hand
smoke to the toxicity of first hand smoke. Unless you were
enclosed in a box no bigger than yourself and the EVIL
smoker, passive smoking is as dangerous as breathing in the
every day air outside. The atmosphere is polluted with
carcinogens due to the fact that we are an industrial
nation. A cigarette makes FUCK ALL difference. Fuck Roy
Castle and fuck this fucking fascist state that we're living
in and all the fucking twats who help perpetuate it.

Smokers have an oral fixation i.e they haven't moved beyond
the oral stage of development (age 0 - 1.5).
