I have over 500 CDs so I don't have a problem with buying
music.

I HATE the concept of "record contracts" though. In an ideal
world true musicians would fund the production of their
music and then sell it to a record company on a one off
payment or royalties basis.
Their earnings would then fund subsequent productions.
I don't like the idea of musicians having a salary from
record companies to make x number of albums etc, because
then the companies start interfering with the music and have
an interest in whether the music will sell.
Who gives a fuck if it doesn't sell millions... I know
electronic music will only ever have a small market.

And to whoever works in music: CDs are WELL overpriced
although that doesn't seem to have stopped me buying them!

It seems you have mistaken this discussion board for a
contradiction board.

Is this a 5 minute argument or the full 1/2 hour?
