I remember getting angry and furious at my brother because
he kept beating me at a game. I think I've punched him once
and a while because of the game. So yeah, I agree.

I like to rubb in victories,.or beating friends while
talking to someone else at the same moment,..or occasional 1
hand playing,.......just to irritate them.

And set industry standards for them.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System, baby!!!!!

So many awesome childhood memories from SNES, NES, and
Genesis... I still play them alot on emulators, so much damn
nostalgia... plus the games are fucking awesome. Not flashy,
just fun. Nothing matches the SNES Mega Man X games, and FF6
is STILL so damn superior to the new RPGs. Better
characters, better music, more balanced game play, it's
great.

FF6 is the best FF, unless I consider Tactics.

Get your hands on Secret of Mana, my personal fav.

Also, Chrono Trigger is a must have.

I have a Chrono Trigger poster in my room, the only poster
I'll put on there, it's been there since that day in '95
when my mom came home and handed me the treasure that is...
CHRONO TRIGGER.

Ha ha! I just bought Rez for the DC. I found it in a new
games store in Cardiff. I'm so glad I found it. I haven't
played it yet (my DC is at my parent's house), but after
hearing what you had to say about it and reading a few
reviews online I decided to buy it.

I thought someone would have mentioned M(etal)G(ear)S(olid)2
for ps2,
by now? I'm sure that anyone who has had an interest in
consoles would be able to appreciate what they have achieved
in MGS2, it would have to be one of the most polished games
I've ever played.

Wait till Ophecks shows up...

I've played the first one and the mission pack to death and
I can honestly say it's overated. It's not a bad game by any
means, I'd give it 4/5, but it's not the masterpiece
everyone makes it out to be.

I haven't played 2 yet...

sooner)
snes (gotta love that mario)
commadore 64 (hehe so crappy only 1 game worked on it-
paddinton bear)

i dont go for these la de dah play stations or mega

platform games and there only good in 2d.

something.

Why are people saying get a PS2, not an XBox (I personally
won't be buying any of the new consoles as I have a PC)

I know people hate Bill Gates, but the PS2 is at least 18
months old now and is old technology compared to the new
consoles...
The PC has excellent games so why shouldn't the XBox?

offline Jarworski from The Grove (United Kingdom) on 2002-05-06 15:27 [#00207803]

The Gamecube has a shit launch line up, the X-Box is dying
on it's arse already, the PS2 is still churning out the same
old shit - just stick with PC games and wait for them all to
be reduced to £99, which will take about six months

Nope, whilst I'd say a Gamecube is the second best, get a
Dreamcast. For the price of a Xbox/ PS2 and 1 game you could
get a DC 6 games a VMU and 2 pads.

Despite what most people think it has better graphics than
the PS2, especiallyon DC originals that get ported- look at
rez and crazy taxi 2...

I prefered the Amiga to the SNES or Megadrive/Genesis

it had awesome public domain games that were written single
handed by enthusiasts rather than huge megabucks software
houses

I used an Amiga 1200 for 4 years through Uni as PCs were too
expensive

I did all my assignments on it and played games

I was impressed by wolf3d on the PC... up until then it was
all flight sims and RPGs

Has anyone got one of those adapters that allows you to use
a real console gamepad such as a PS gamepad on the PC?

My mate had a "revenger" for the PC a few years back. It
allowed you to use megadrive pads on the PC. It blew up when
he tried running a "home made" steering wheel through it for
fatal racing though...
