Money Making Ideas

The past few threads I have been reading have to do with
making money, not having money, or whatever.

I was thinking it would be a cool idea to have a solid
thread about real ways to make money, and which jobs get the
most money. Sure we all say "Make house music" "Buy X and
sell it for Y"

But most of us don't do it, or if we try it's not
successful!

What works? And how is it done?

Besides getting a job of course. I was thinking opening a
small resturant or something of the nature. In my home town
there is a cafe that is ran out of a converted house. The
rent I would imagine, wouldn't be too much because it isn't
really a commerial building. And depending on what you sold
for food, you could really make a ton of cash.

But what I have heard is that the government really picks on
small businesses in terms of taxing and fees. So most
businesses join these SMALL BUSINESS OWNER unions of some
sort. Is this true?

What would the start up cost be on a place that sells really
cheap foods (like pastas and stuff). Anyone with
exsperience?

I've got a couple of things I'm working on now that I'm
hoping I'll be able to develop into money making schemes.
However, I'm not holding out hope. I would like to
supplement my income though.

Would be cool of a bunch of people from the XLTronic
community got together and tried to do something ... not so
much out of greed but more just to see if we can actually do
it :D

Donate the money to SPCA or something :D

Apply to be an extra in a film/tv programme. You get more
money if you can provide your own costume etc. Apply to be
one of those people that stand in a line and the victim of a
crime has to point out the criminal. Be a mystery shopper,
where you can earn up to £100 a day.

A safer more legal way is Houseflipping.

First you need a job and a good Credit rating!

Get a mortgage, but a fixerupper, fix it (repaint it, buy
new appliences/bathroom stuff, lay hardwood floors or
carpet, rent nice furniture) all within one month before
your first mortgage payment is due, then put it back on the
market at a profit. Use the profit as a downpayment on your
next one and if you are lucky you will have full ownership
of a property of a similar value of the first one within 18
months.

Watch out for bank charges/realtor(Estate Agents) commisions
and Capitol Gains Taxes.

Or play roulette:

Bet on Black or Red if you loose double your bet, you will
win your original stake back. repeat

There is always a chance that red, 0 and 00 will come in 8
times in a row and you will hit the tables maximum bet. Also
Casinos don't like peole who win so you could always get
asked to leave and they tend to do this after you have lost
three or more in a row.

Try it online LAZY_ROULETTE

It happens, don't take any money into a casino that you
can't afford to loose.

I've tried the whole casino thing. It's generally a bad way
of going about making money unless you're really
disciplined (which I am certainly not)

It is very easy to get greedy or to try and win back you
what you have lost quickly. Casinos will know this and
usually, before they ask you to leave, they will ply you
with booze to get you to change your betting sytem. In Las
Vegas they will send over a Patsy, usually a hot girl, to
try and make you a bit over enthusiastic!

Using this sytem you can make around $100 an hour but one
day you will loose, if you are working as a team (one bets
black, one bets red, one bets odd, one bets even) together
you wont loose, but this will always get you kicked out
really fast. This is how the Arabs did it in Las Vegas in
the early 80s, which is why you will never find a limitless
roulette table and if you do tell me!!!!

is it not better to bet on 1/3 of the roulette table? wait
like 5 spins with it not landing on 1/3 and then start
betting. bet in order $1,2,4,8,16,32,64.. bail!

No, the lower the odds the better the bet 2-1 (or just under
with 0,00 [1 in 2.36ish]) is slower but safer. Choosing one
number just in case that 1 in 38 comes in, is stupid, but
will come in eventually.

see i would go for the 1/3 because i'm impatient, weak,
greedy and badly disciplined
