Gervais to charge for podcast

The run of free podcasts is over but look at this for
cheek!

"For the low, low price of $6.95 you'll get at least four
new, weekly, full-length episodes (and possibly more, unless
Karl's innate denseness leaves Ricky and Steve permanently
speechless). Subscribe now and we'll start you off with the
FREE PREVIEW.

Imagine! More "Karl's Diary", the return of "Rockbusters",
and all the usual rubbish that results when Ricky Gervais
and Steve Merchant trawl the shallow depths of Karl
Pilkington's mind."

It's equal to: $0.00114 / hour

There's a chance.

I am contemplating paying though. It's worth it for
Pilkington. I'll e-mail and ask them to extend to 45 minutes
though as they clearly cut stuff out and I think that if
we're paying then we should be allowed more.

At $6.95 for 4 then they'll be raking it in if even half of
the current subs take it. Hell if a qrter take it they'll be
coining it.

an obvious solution would be a Team XLT Pilkington Cash
Unity Agreement 2006 in which payment only occured once and
audiowealth was hence distributed among the peoples

gervais squeals in that horrific manner at least 20 times
per podcast.

thats just under 10 cents per squeal - bargain.

i dont think its funny paying for it, comedy should be free
like on radio and tv, coz when u know uve paid for it, you
think now it has to be funny and find yourselves laughing at
things you normally wouldnt or expecting it to be more funny
now your paying for it

Do you not pay a TV License?

What about the adverts on non BBC channels?

Hmmmm, I'm impressed. Firefox crashed just after posting
that. I just started it again, half an hour later, and it
posts that again. I'm impressed.

I think people should pay to read my comments, they're
clearly supperior to a lot of the old twaddle. Think about
providing a subscription service to me, say, $6.95 for ten
hilarious and thought provoking posts.

I think I could pay for the shows if the payment would be
easy. It's nice to hear Karl going about it.

I doubt that this is just a scam to line Gervais et al's
pockets.

The current one is a guardian commission. The hosting costs
must be enormous. Sucks that it has to be this way, but I'm
chuffed that there's gonna be more shows, regardless. I'll
probably split the cost with my brother, so about £2.00 for
4 more episodes, that's fine really.
