ok, I got to finish this design that I told some people I'd do. I was drunk, and I.. well, I just want to finish it... however, my conscience won't allow me to let something unfinished or halfway go... my designs always turn out somewhat minimal, and in this one I also had a few things that I had to take into consideration.. like that logo with the huge fucking s, the fact that they wanted a blue page and some design stuff they'd done before that they kind of wanted to keep the shape of. does it work? is the navigation intuitive? I don't know if those links in the line up there are intuitive enough due to them being black. nevermind what the text says, it isn't words anyway. the colors. they wanted blue, they got blue. am I color blind on other things? it's better than no matter what, so... |

yeah, the logo is.. well, thing is that if I want it to be wide enough, that fucking S character makes it as high as it is... that was the only set graphic element.. I can't just squish it either, as it is indeed their logo... it's the student society in bergen, by the way. |

Maybe you could make the logo fade after a certain amount of time and have it replaced with something smaller? You could do that with stuff. |

is the blue bg included in the logo? either way, scale the logo down and keep it centered. the blue is way too dominant over the page, and i'm viewing this on a 1024x768 screen. think of the people who will be seeing it on a smaller monitor! |

It looks fukcing huge on a 1600*1200 at work. 1280*1024 here though and it does look monstrous. Takes about half the screen. Tell them it's got to be resized. |

ok. I updated the first page . smaller s. I also created two new ones. is also kind of a very standard layout, and I made it thinking that they may want to somehow identify themselves with "Kvarteret," a student bar where they often have talks and stuff.. their design is quite similar to this. , I decided to play a bit more, though it's still pretty plain. manual labour isn't something you associate with students, so those working men are meant ironically, but do you think you'd get that if I didn't tell you? again, nevermind the code right now. it will be fixed later... |

i like all of the designs and think they're great. the second one may actually be slightly too sparse, but i don't know anything about anything. i don't think anyone will get the joke, but i don't see that as a problem at all. |

I'll probably be giving it to them soon.. unless I think up another idea for some design... yeah, people may not really consider those people as anything besides design elements.. oh well... haha, I can just write it in small print somewhere: "the two people are meant ironically, as they are obviously people who do some sort of manual labour (note the top mans "mobile phone"lol), which is not the type of labour commonly associated with students." Doing so would both ruin the already rather bad joke and amplify its effect by 4 joke points. A+ Drunken Mastah! oh.. it's a student society thingie that's getting the pages, btw...
