I must admit that

Arpanet - "Quantum Transposition" track 10

that they have available there is pretty neat.

Good call rephlex

Actually those other two tracks available are just as cool
as well. Good night time music!

Arpanet seems pretty darn good. Anyone have any other
information regarding them

Oooh clear vinyl. So it's a remix... no name... intriguing.

zyklus: biometry if you like quantum transposition, it's
pretty similar (same guy).

I like the concept of clear vinyl even though i have never
bought vinyl nor do i intend to at this current time.

I used to have one of those real small records (45?) of some
version of "carmen" that was made in the 40's or earlier. I
was young and just scratched it up (trying to scratch) when
i was like 6 or 7.

is the track "who is it" that bogdan raczynski (w/bjork) has
had as a forthcoming release on his site for 2 years+ ??

Bjork's Medulla had a 'who is it' track, so sounds pretty
likely to be the bogdan remix

I found a recording of the grime launch at the end hosted on
the rephlex site, its not linked from the site though.

That was there before. It's good the way the MC keeps giving
shouts out to "The Aphex Twins".

Is the Who Is It vinyl worth buying? What's it like? ANyone
know?

Got the album free after I bought all the Analords from a
record shop. It's repetitve and slightly pointless from my
point of view. Same drum sounds used on every track with
drums. I'm gonna remix the album. Make it a bit more
interesting....

Sometimes the same drum sound can be ok. I guess it really
depends because sometimes i know where you are coming from
100%.

I'd be interested in hearing your remix of it

offline dog_belch from Netherlands, The on 2005-10-13 10:08 [#01748757]

I think that purity of the sound is an essential part of the
Arpanet aesthetic. Some people find it boring, but I and
many others find great joy inArpanet, The Other People
Place, Drexciya, there are many other names connected ...
that clean, sleek sound of machines... it's very satisfying.
The art is in the details, but that needn't always mean
"complexity" as is popular in electronic music lately.

I was trying to make some thoughtful followup to that, but
it seems you have nailed all the aspects of why drexciya and
the numerous offshoots are so appealing.
