Little known fact... Don Cherry (the hockey personality, not
the jazzman) is a big Underworld fan.

i love Underworld. one of my favourite electronic artists.
^^

(i have dubnobasswithmyheadman, Second Toughest In The
Infants, Beaucoup Fish and 1992-2002 so far)

-

btw, Pop Muzik is a song by an artist called M originally :
)
(and it's been covered by eX-Girl too).

i only have 4 tracks, born slippy, sola sistim, cups and
second hand. i like them all though

Second Toughest is my fave.

I remember my friend playing the Born Slippy EP to me and it
blew me away, then Trainspotting came along and ruined it
because I heard it too much when I was a student.

last time i checked, listening second toughest which i once
liked lots, i was struck by the un-musicality (if that's an
english word) of those guys. i guess i once found that
charming though

Raz0rBlade_uk: get an album then! : )

big: un-musicality? o_O ...man, what else do you
listen to to find Underworld un-musical? (almost all idm is
less "musical" than Underworld already...)

to me it sounds like those guys never played an instrument
and haven't played live together ever, just like any next
idm artist but, to me, it shows. i think they have that
singer to cover it up

well i've seen them live twice and once ignored them sitting
on the toilet at a festival but couldnt help being irritated
by the semi jazz stuff i heard and i heard their 'live'
album
i guess you can guess what i think of them live

what these acts just do 'live' is just make another mix of
their tracks
i saw chemical brothers this year and their encore was
exactly like a part of their regular show i saw two years
ago (the bigbeat track with those clown faces and stuff:
even the vj stuff is all planned out)

born slippy is a classic and Dark & Long (Dark Train) is
also good (I think that was a collaboration with Oakenfold
though I could be wrong on that one..) however I'm not
really into their other stuff, a bit too mainstream for me.
Their songs lack the ability to make you want to listen to
them continuously and they don't particularly advance a mood
that your in unlike other artists such as Amethystium and
Robert Rich.

I like Underworld a lot, I used to be really into both them
and Orbital.

I just don't always enjoy the drunken lyrics and "singing"
on some of the tracks.

100 Days Off wasn't as good as the others for me, either.
But it's not a bad record.

They are kinda hit-or-miss with me but I agree that
Dubnobasswithmyheadman, Second Toughest in the Infants, and
Beaucoup Fish are all excellent records... classics, even.
I also really enjoy their live DVD Everything Everything
with the visuals by Tomato or whomever innit
