the clear outer sleeve is too big for the sleeve in the
folder

maybe it isn't. maybe there are 12 sleeves in the binder and
one will never be filled. maybe.

I guess this solves the quandry I was facing, where to put
the picture disc Analord 10? At the back, after 11, or
before 11 next to the original 10. And then which 10 first,
the original or the picture disc? Come on Rephlex, how does
this folder thing work?

analord 12?

do you have 10 between 9 and 11? i still have it at the
front

anyway typically i've brought on this myself, i'll never
play either of them again anyway, fuck knows why i bought
it. it just looked nice and i didn't want to feel left out.

I'm pretty sure there will be an analord 12. SRD lists
analord 11 as:

RPX11 ETC Rephlex Afx 11 ANALORD11-12

It might be limited. It might not. It may arrive tomorrow.
It may arrive in 10 years. But i'm pretty sure it'll happen.

I asked somewhere, but didn't get a reply... what is
the picture-disc?

or maybe if you've bothered to look at the convention of
almost any record catalogue number ever, you may notice that
the 12 represents the size of the record

Just a re-issue of Analord 10. The first one was a
audiophile 180g black vinyl pressing, and since the people
who spent £35 on the binder would get pissy if it was
available in the same format (sans-binder) again, I guess
rephlex thought they'd do something a little different.

180g black analord 10 = sounds better
picture disc analord 10 = looks better

Completists will have both anyway, so either way... rephlex
win!

ah.. ok then...

I guess it'd be silly of them to have a separate folder for
a re-press of one of the other vinyls, so there's probably
one more coming then...

Ah, you're right.

If the picture disc doesn't fit in the sleeves, i'm still
sure 12 will arrive though.

1: not into analords
2: I've noticed talk of the picture disk, but for some
reason it made more sense to me that this was just a
collection of pictures that went with the senter label on
the other 12"s or something...

Excellent, shout, shout, let it all out, if you FLAC it.

What's so special about Analord 10 that it either comes in
an expensive binder or as a picture disc, I just don't
understand, why not 8, which is the best one?

offline Drunken Mastah from OPPERKLASSESVIN!!! (Norway) on 2005-07-09 10:08 [#01657752]

didn't 10 have the entire folder while this new one doesn't?

That's right. I just wondered though, why it's 10, why not 1
with the binder? Or the last one as a picture disc, is it
just random that 10 only comes in a special edition? Or is
it because it's the best. I don't know, they are perverse,
these Aphex Twins.

and why was the first analord 10 released under aphex twin,
and not afx like the rest?

and when people who bought it will sell it after few years
aphex twin is a better known name therefore the interest is
going to be higher and therefore we will all be rich!

I was pissed when I discovered this. I removed the vinyl
from the sleeve it came in and popped it in the binder. I've
burnt the other piece.

That's a lie about the burning.

01

02

These are unresized so they're about 1.75 and 1.55 meg each.

giginger: No it fitted in pretty easily, a bit of the
material sticks out v. slightly at the top but no more so
than the other ones (just seems more noticeable as its a
hard plastic this time)

Mine is more than a tight fit. It just makes the plastic
crease.

Strange. I'm wondering if there's 1 wallet only that it'll
fit into..

Put it in the original vol 10 sleeve that's already jiggered
from traveling under the tender care of the postal service.
The split should offer a bit more give.
