What activitity/toy do you remember most from when you were
really young (5-10)? I'd definately say BMX. That shit was
ubiquitous!

i used to love lego back when they kept it simple, you could
build houses or walls or towers...then they went and
invented lego helicopters and bikes, made out of tiny
intricate bits, and today youve got lego things with
computer chips in them...it just isnt the same :(

legos were great for me growing up

i feel bad for all the kids growing up right now with such
shit toys that are worthless.

legos at least taught the child how to construct things, how
to follow directions, as well as really building on the
imagination.

long live legos.

games like old super mario, and they arent really being made
anymore...are there any 2D platform games that you can
recommend for the game cube? or even the N64?

i wasnt that much into toys. i listened to techno trax
volumes one to three and ministry's the land of rape and
honey when i was 5.

i actually really dont remember an outstandig toy. ah, but
i remember how my friends always brought plastic knifes and
plastic swords and plastic guns and i thought "weapons ...
how interesting. (motherfuckers!)"

did anyone here have one of those big poles in the back
garden with a tennis ball tied to the top on a chord? and
you hit the ball with a plastic tennis bat and the ball
would swing around the pole?

i mean, she's a very attractive woman, i don't understand
why she doesn't look happier.

My little ponies! MILLIONS OF MY LITTLE PONIES. Even the
freaky sea-ponies with weird curved tails. I used to play
with those in the bath.

And every Barbie you can imagine. Girl toys were lame--dress
up the Barbie, put her in the pink car with her name on the
side, drive her in a straight line to a shopping center or
soemthing (located under the table in the kitchen), make her
walk around (on her toes) and look at clothes, try on
clothes, drive home, try on more clothes. Ugh. How did I
manage?

i was also very much a pyro. i either burned or exploded
all of my gi-joe & he-man figures.

i also accidentally set a rather large field on fire once.
it was intense. fire dept trucks & helicopters, and all
that.

i love it when you do naughty stuff but no one knows it was
you. I egged a bus regulary for about 2 weeks and it was in
the newspaper. luckily i had the best hiding place on top of
a roof of houses that had just been made.

I made my 'action man' films which went on to become very
popular when i was 13. obviously it was about shagging
barbie, getting killed and being on fire.

i used to get a chemistry/physics set every christmas ... do
maybe one experiment with iron filings and then destroy
everything including the polystyrene box.

... i went on to do physics in college and was equally shit
at the adult stuff.

lego was my fave and ordinary toy soldiers expecially the
akrika corps which looked so cool... and the metal batmobile
that could fire matches and had that retractable blade on
the front.

I had a motorcycle and lived in the middle of nowhere. That
was great.

Totally into xformers like everyone else. But they were
expensive, so I only had a few.

I liked these things when I was a kid.. they were little
capsules, you place them in warm water and the capsule melts
and inside is a sponge that expands into a dinosaur (or
animal or robot, etc) I really liked those.

Simon
Speak and Spell
Merlin
Rubick's products
Rubber bouncey balls
Firecrackers
My Kiddie Pool
The swingset was dope, as was my turtle shaped sandbox
Choose you own adventure books

Jesus, I was spoiled, I should be nicer to my parents.. I'm
going to end up making my kid play with a notebook and a
single black crayon or something.

How the fuck did I forget lego? I was deep into the Pirate
themed legos. I modified all the ships and shit to be what I
thought was futuristic but they would always end up looking
like large blocky placentae.
