Raimons has been played on swedish national radio twice .
We laughed our heads off .First time it was a really bad
track , "astronaut dance" or something it was called but
they obviously took it seriously .Raimons had just sent it
in on a whim to see what happens.

The second time he won tickets to the Hultsfred festival in
a music competition where you should write a track about the
festival. This track was also totaly idiotic but sort of
funky in a Beck kind of way.
The best part was that they interviewed him live on stage
during the festival and played his track again.
I wasn't there but i was at home listening and laughin my
ass off. Raimons was of course drunk ,he spilled a bewerage
all over the stage as the interview started and you could
hear the reporters lose their focus. One of the reporters
asked Raimons how it felt hearing himself on the radio and
Raimons replied "it is always nice to hear myself on the
radio"
.
The reporter was obviously put off by this unespected cocky
reply and said with a kinda condensating tone " to bad
you can't hear yourself on the radio now then "

And Raimons replyed "i can hear myself" .
The reporter paused for a couple of seconds as he semed to
realize that they where both wearing headphones and you
could hear some in the audience laugh (mostly raimons equaly
drunk mates) . He then abruptly ended the interview , "ok
here is Raimons with the track "hultsfred"
hahaha!!!

I laughed for a week ! One of Raimons finer moments =)

not really THAT random, seeing as one of the two presenters
, is pomme de terre, one of the mods of this board, who also
always makes a thread about his show when it's about to
broadcast.

well, I say "mod", I mean that in the broadest possible
sense.. as in: it says so on his jacket and his name turned
grey. that's about it, really.

Yes such unknown places as the United States of America,
France and Cuba...the world must be opening up for you
through your music.

I've given up writing music, because I've realised that I'm
completely wank at it.

However, about 3 years ago, when I was here in Lithuania I
wrote a track called Vienisas (it means "lonely" in
Lithuanian). It's available here:
http://stage.vitaminic.com/manicminer

Anyway, I gave out the above web address to a few people
here and a few CDs (the response was entirely underwhelming)
and then more or less forgot about it.

This summer, again here in Lithuania, me and wor lass were
watching television when the fucking track came on, being
used as background music on a news programme (during a
report about a Russian woman who's going to be deported). We
watched the programme again later in the week, and it was on
again!

I emailed the channel and told them about it, all the
details etc - gave them the date the programme was on.

They emailed back saying I must have made some kind of
mistake, as the date I gave was a Thursday, and the
programme isn't shown on Thursdays. I emailed again and
pointed out that the date I gave wasn't a Thursday, but was
in fact a Tuesday (one of the days they said the programme
is shown). They emailed me back apologetically and said
they'd try to find out how it happened, but I haven't heard
from them again since.

I don't know if it's still being used on the programme, as
shortly after that we moved to a new flat and we can only
pick up one TV channel here (and not the channel on which
the programme is shown).

I really wish I'd managed to videotape the programme. Having
your music played in the background of a Lithuanian news
programme is something special indeed.

Thats cool indeed. You should continue writing music , even
if you are shit at it and realize it is not going anywhere .
Do it cause its fun , something to pass time with , a hobby.

sometimes when you post a track in the 'post a track for me
to play on the radio tonight' threads, i will proceed to
play the track on the radio.
