Hi. I was wondering if any of you fine folk could lend some
ideas and insight into the world of newsgroups. I have never
tried to use them before and i was interesting in browsing
them for various media files.

I noticed that usenet has a membership fee. Is there anyway
that i could browse these for free? Also are there programs
that aid in this?

Thanks in advace!

b

There are sites that let you browse some newsgroups. Your
ISP may well let you access some directly yourself. But if
you want tasty audio, video or PORN binaries, you'll have to
pay.

get xnews (google it)
and find out if your isp has a new server like the person
said above.

with my isp (standard cable) i get pretty much everything
without paying extra

Find a hack of NewsBin Pro. It is a newsgroup client. Get
your ISPs news server address. Begin.

what is your internet service provider? Like,
Calicablecomlink.net or something.. go to their website and
check the faq. look in the section where it gives info on
setting up email accounts and such and look for the address
of the news server, it will be something like,
[news.calicablelinkcom.net] enter that as your news server
in news bin and thats that.

if you cant find the news server address, you can just call
them.
