LCC-worst electronic piece of music ever?

offline CS2x from London (United Kingdom) on 2005-02-15 16:48 [#01500281]

I find this track offensive.

I am talking about the leak of of the album which is genuine
here (the one posted on the WATMM boards I believe.)

However, as this track is similar on both leaks, it doesn't
matter.

What were they thinking? This single track is really quite
atrocious in so many ways.

Worse than Enigma?

Well at least Enigma succeed at what they're trying to do.

This is just really poor.

Apart from the bit where the pads come in the middle. They
are nice.

If you're talking about the one with the grimey beat, then
yes, yes it is. Also,

THIS IS FAKE

offline CS2x from London (United Kingdom) on 2005-02-15 16:52 [#01500288]
Points: 5079 Status: Lurker

No, the same track is on the actual leak that was posted in
a link on WATMM (which a mod strangely asked to be
removed.)

That adress has the actual album, and Lcc is the same there.
So it's real. And it's shit.

(it's not even a proper grimey beat!)

soulleak

offline CS2x from London (United Kingdom) on 2005-02-15 16:56 [#01500295]
Points: 5079 Status: Lurker

Yes, there was an initial leak with different track times
and mostly fake tracks.

Then there was a link to a leak of the actual CD on WATMM,
which has since been removed.

I have both. Lcc is shite on both.

The other tracks are quite nice, mind.

the real lcc has that fierce slap doesn't it? the 3 firce
slaps that get closed and congested soon on

offline CS2x from London (United Kingdom) on 2005-02-15 17:03 [#01500300]

the one I am listening to has these fast drum line which is
followed be 3 consecutive hits. The drum sounds are thin and
weak.

This pattern stays like that (albiet with a few minor
pathetic changes) for the entire first half. Then the same
dull drum sounds are used in another regular beat, over
which synth bass sounds and pad sounds are played. The
ending has some nice static-like sounds over the beat; then
it finishes.

yes,

that is fucking fat to me.

to me it is alot like the performances during the 2001 tour.
it's reminisent of that style to me - all tracks have that
real live feeling to them.

draft was more like... an album. more personal and more
"storytelling" if you'll forgive me for using that word

you dont like sublimit? :(

curb its at your own discretion whether or not you're gonna
download the stuff. from looking at your record bag it's
safe to assume you're gonna buy it anyway :)

just rest assured that it sounds good. you won't be
disappointed.

CS2x's post is pretty explicit about which track he is
explaining, regardless of his opinion, but might I correct
you in saying that the version of LCC that was formerly on
WATMM is indeed different then the one that many people got
on slsk on Sunday from the torrent that was available. That
version, glitched and was much less clean and incorporated
portions of another track in it.

Since then LCC v2 leak 2/14/2005 is much more resolved, and
the PAP, PAP, PAP actually makes sense in way, half way
through the track. Similar to how track one on the past 2
lps used the same fooling strategy

the LCC i have is 7:46

the "PAP" (for lack of a better phonetic spelling of that
sound) is in its congested form and goes 4 times too many
right at 2:35

do i have the good version

offline gl0tch from www.gl0tch.com     on 2005-02-15 17:27 [#01500335]
Points: 2708 Status: Lurker

not to confuse you further, but both versions are 7.46s, but
are indeed different. Does yours clip at the end, or seem
like the volume actually tunrs off at any point?

better yet, can you hear 2 distinct songs at any point?
if so, thats the version from Sunday, not v2

offline cygnus from nowhere and everyplace on 2005-02-15 17:30 [#01500337]
Points: 11920 Status: Regular

at the end there is some very bekinski-esque synthesis, it
doesn't hard cut - i dont hear 2 different songs at the end
of it

"the "PAP" (for lack of a better phonetic spelling of that
sound) is in its congested form and goes 4 times too many
right at 2:35"

That is the most greatest part.

it seems like you might have what is being called LCC v2
now you should grab all the other v2 stuff

if you need to cross reference lengths, let me know

I like Sublimit now.

I still hate this track, it sounds really unfinished to me
(apart from that nice relaxing pad section.)

I think Untilted is good overall, and I'm going to try and
avoid it till April (I don't want the proper release being
ruined.)

cs2x >>

have you ever listened to an ae record and liked every track
on first listen?

that's rarely been the case w/ me man, but with this new
stuff its different. it goes by very quickly. seems cut and
paste. quickly done. still great though, still nice stuff
that sounds great

fruityloops test tune

lcc:
it starts out with a hollow, atmospheric low key sound,
sddenly a metallic snare starts to beat fast paced, with a
brooding "jega - geometry" like mood to it. more metallic
sounds starts to develop over it, and more atmospherics are
added. in the middle of the track suddenly, melodies arise,
awesome melodies, out in the open.full pads aka vletrmx21
come in. it's all very awesome.

cs2x i can guarantee you this lcc is not the one whos going
to be on the album.

i guess... minus his excessive use of compression and
distortion on the final output of each track. He's great,
don't get me wrong, but just not original... he wears his
influences on his sleeve. shit, his label even admits it

I definitely got that feel from the small bit I heard. Live
set in Portland 2001, and others.
