Valve released this, its quite cool. But it seems to eat
alot of power from the server, quite a lag.

Excellent.

LAZY_TITLE

We should sort out a big game soon. It'll be great,
especially as we'll all be playing in our underwear!

I played on a swedish server, and there was no lag. Its
quite nice, but a little too hectic

i'm more into the good old Quake3..
in fact i have never played Halflife seriously - only tried
training level of hl1.

xlt deathmatch is a nice idea, anyway. whatever the game
is.

it would be nice if someone from NY could host a server,
seeing as its a good central point for everyone around the
world to connect to. Either that or someone in Japan. no?

I just played for a while. It's awesome - simple, very fast,
and having fights with the gravity gun is insane.

I just played a good DM session. My framerate blows
though.
We had gravity set to super low so it was a flying toilet
bowl launching good time.

no, you don't.

you can start Steam in offline mode.

sorry, I wasn't explicit enough before. it doesn't even give
me the option to start in offline mode, the instant I start
either Steam OR the half life 2 shortcut, it goes directly
into a neverending connection attempt, from which there is
no escape.
