Anyone hear that Chris Clark amsterdam set when he was
looping the bassline to "Ice Ice Baby" (by vanilla ice no
less) under some crazy drums and a chopped vocals sample
going "bawka boom boom bawka bawka boom doom boom"?

He looks exactly the way I imagined him to look. Excellent
work Thad.

brokephones: I don't mean to make you look stupid but
did you realised that the bassline from Ice Ice Baby was
actually directly taken from the Queen collaboration with
David Bowie called "Under Pressure".

Hammertime is one of only two songs in the history of
mankind (the other being after "known to let the beat..." in
Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys) that has a place where
you simply have to extend the the pause for 1 bar by
holding the record when DJing.

"Stop... (say to yourself; 1, 2, 3, 4) ...Hammertime!"

Stanley and his magic breakin' shoes

It Was on channel 4 really early in the morning about 10
years ago.

Nice purchase :)

I managed to pick up a load of great 45s a couple of
weekends ago, stuff like Kool and The Gang, Bob Marley,
Eddie Grant, loads of old Funk singles, Coldcut, Mary
Poppins "Chim Chim" track, Some early detroit techno etc.
35 records all in all, only one skips and only two are
rubbish (I took a chance on a few based on
producers/bands/labels I recognised). Cost me £5. I managed
to keep a straight face when I haggled with the guy, getting
them at 7 for £1 :D

Some of them are in great condition. I even had to loosen
the hole on a Boney M single.

Did you know he's a preacher now? He has his own show on TBN
(Trinity Broadcasting Network) called 'Hammer and Friends'?
I love watching that channel, true comedy to me. I just
think it's funny that he's a preacher now, and still goes by
Hammer. What a douche bag.

I didn't know that :)

I have always secretly wanted him to team up with DJ Sickle
and to form a new group in the former USSR.
