my wife has filed for divorce

offline hepburnenthorpe from sydney (Australia) on 2004-01-08 14:24 [#01023773]

my wife (belle) just rang me to say that our papers are in
the mail. quite depressing really. even though i have known
for some time that we arent getting back together, well,
this makes it all official.

so now, the journey really begins. its just wierd, two
people so close, and we are still very close. but for lots
of reasons just cant be together.

anyway, i know its sad, but im gonna spend the day getting
drunk.

Every ending is new beginning.

So long as you remain friends the paper means nothing.

Wish you the best luck in with moving on with your life. New
times are ahead,
may be good
may be bad,
but you should make the best out of them, whatever is the
case.

move out, and move on.

So sorry to hear that mate :(

The only positive way to look at this is as qrter says, see
the divorce coming through as closure.

I know it's a cliche, but time does heal.

belle has custody, and they are both currently living in
london, though they'll be back in march.

im not all upset or anything, dont get the wrong idea. i
have moved on. i have a nice girlfriend i hang with. but
yeah, i guess i have been holding back, kinda still thinking
about belle.

anyway, its great to share this stuff. especially with
people i dont know. all my friends are belles friends aswell
so its kinda hard to be open about it.

i guess its times like these where things really just hit
home. were NEVER gonna be as we where.

we will however, always remain friends. and i can actually
say that with confidence. we are still mates, and Maiya
needs us both.

it's a genuine shame to rread that.
i hate it when 'studs' go on forr a week about theirr broken
hearrt when you know it's utterr bullshit because they'll
have found someone else to fill that gap in no time, and
will totally forrget theirr ex-gf.
but frrom otherr posts that you've made, you rreally loved
herr (well she was yourr fucking wife rright?), but you
sound like you still do.
sad.

hepburnenthorpe: you must live for your child now. i think
the hardest thing growing up for me was trying to understand
why my mom and dad left each other. i always felt as if it
was my fault. and then when i got older, the resentment
kicked in. its unbelievable mentally. i'm 23 now, and it
stills fucks me up sometimes, casue i think about how thngs
COULD have been. your little princess is a gift from god.
treat it that way.

Sad news, hep!
I'm sure it's quite hard, but it's a process and eventually
you'll realize that you've learnt a lot, both from the
relationship itself and the actual breakup.

Let's hope it's for the better!

Sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how strange it is,
literally, I ain't never gettin' hitched *knock on wood. At
least it was a pretty amicable split, no hired hitmen or
anything. Great news for your kid.

that's awful news. sorry to hear that. i am recently

divorce must cause. it's good to hear you have such a
positive outlook on life.

i'll drink a couple brews tonight in your honor.

well you can look at it this way (and it seems you are) you
have a super close friend, who probably knows you better
then anyone, whom you share an unbreakable bone with (your
daughter)... and you have a chance to find another person to
fall in love with... sounds like you're taking it really
well... all the best man!
