I used to get between 2 and 10 spam emails a day in hotmail and now I get ZERO... not a one... for the past 10 days or so. I've only been catching glimpses of news titles about "war on spam" etc. so either there's some new law passed or something, or it has to do with me removing my hotmail address from my profile here. If that's the case there must be a million of those email address collecting bots roaming about here, so try removing it yourself if you have the same problem. |

Well, yes, that is a good point. I miss getting spam because it made me feel like I had people who liked me... I'm just saying for the average joe who has regular email sending friends, removing your email from your profile might stop spam... |

I always get spam, but YAHOO's spam filters work really well actually, so basicly no matter what I really get NO SPAM! which rules. |

as far as ive been able to figure, bots are almost useless at gathering infomation from dynamic datbase driven sites, as the pages simply dont exist, until they are called by a user. not 100% sure, but i have been developing asp/mysql sites for a while, and have always had trouble getting bots to index my sites. |
