i bought it today and im totally loving it!!!
perhaps my favourite air album and im only just getting into
it. beautiful melancholic stuff, it makes my brain kind of
itchy...it's just so beautiful...
the 10.000 hz album was way more uptempo than this one.
sounds a lot like moon safari, little less cheesy and
production is way better.
my favourite tunes for now are:
-run
-universal traveler
-mike mills (that piano part is just excellent!!!)
-alone in kyoto (also on lost in translation soundtrack)

anyone else likes it??
-

though or that city reading thing. i guess i only liked
virgin suicides by them a little bit, ill still hear this
release though probably.

isn't there some really easy way to get around the whole
copy protection thing right now? i thought i heard something
like all you have to do is press the Shift button or the
Ctrl button when you start to copy it... something
ridiculously easy like that...

don't know about that...but i had lots of troubles ripping
drukqs, i even tried with audio burner but no luck...
i heard it should work if you color the outside line of the
cd, but i wouldn't wan't to fuck up the cd :)...haven't seen
it done yet and im not going to try it :)

ophecks, im sure you0re going to get the original when you
hear it, it's just so good...so no biggie crime in that
actually i downloaded and burn't another cd already

so this isn't already out everywhere? Hmmm, I was itching to
buy another nice cd, so maybe this is one for me...

so it's better then Moon Safari, more melencholic you say?
Cool, I might check it out!

well, it's better to me :)
i liked some tunes on moon safari very very much, but this
new one is better as a whole i'd say...and yes, definitely
way more melancholic!
its like a mixture of virging suicides and moon safari and a
little of 10.000 HZ as well :)

holy hell it's queued to a million! tons of hits on slsk,
but i'm like 1000th in line for all of them.

i loved moon safari much more than 10,000hz legend, so i'm
looking forward to this :) i really got tired of moon safari
though, becuase i loved it and played it non stop for so
long.

if you're talking about Nigel Godrich, he did shit with Beck
(Mutations and Sea Change), Radiohead (on a lot of their
releases...), Travis, and he was supposed to produce the new
strokes album... but then things weren't working out, so
thet went with their old producer gordon raphael instead...

i read the review on the milkfactory today...they gave it
3,5/5
if anyone is interested they can read the review
here

"Perhaps more than ever before, Talkie Walkie shows how the
band’s career has been hampered by the incredible success
of their first proper album. If not a bad album by any
means, Talkie Walkie still lacks the spark that made Moon
Safari, and to a lesser extend, 10,000Hz Legend, such
interesting records."

i don't agree with this actually :)

about the promo - im not sure what it is, it looks like the
proper release, with inlay and everything...tho i read
somewhere that there is going to be a release with a dvd
included (with 6 videos i think)...if the tracks on proper
release are the same length i don't mind if i have a promo
:)
anyway, it's a great album...

I cant wait to get it

I love Alone In Kyoto (heard it in Lost In Translation), and
last night I saw a music video for... um. shit forgot the
name, sherry something something?

It had some singing, and flutes and stuff.

It was really nice

although the video was really sad... about this girl who
does porn, cause she needs money, and she drugs herself
before the scene.

Then she is on her way home, and gets beaten and raped :-\

A good, but sad video.

But like I said, great music too!

probably cherry blossom girl...awesome tune, but as i said
already, the whole album is beautiful.
it's just so catchy...yesterday i went to visit my parents
and my sister went along and we were listening walkie talkie
and she also loved it at first listen.

"although the video was really sad"
the whole album has a very melanholic touch to it, it's sad
but makes you feel good (if that makes any sense heh)

makes perfect sense... Alone In Kyoto is the most happy, sad

or happiness.
