being around here :)

You people over seas really need to stop calling smokes
fags. It sounds so gay you don't understand.
"I'm gonna go for a long fag break"
"I'm dieing for a fag right now"
"I think I could handel 2 fags at once"
"Can I bum a fag?"

given the frequency with which english is butchered by
native speakers on this board, i wouldn't worry about your
lack of fluency.

I don't correct non-English-speakers' English because:
1. Correcting people on little shit like that makes me feel
like an asshole.
2. It's usually understandable anyway.
3. English-speakers make tons of mistakes and typos too.

offline evolume from seattle (United States) on 2003-12-29 12:29 [#01009074]

I think you have pretty good english. considering it's not
your native language. I can't even really speak another
language fluently so i can't really criticize anyone's
english. your's is deffinately better than a lot of
american's who can barely speak their own language let alone
become bi-lingual.

lol,
I have a dynamic understanding of the mechanisims of the
English language, but i don't make claims to the ability to
accurately spell most of it.

"dynamic understanding of the mechanisms of language" is one
of the more interesting euphemisms for "poor grammar" i've
heard, evolume.

: )

I'm actually quite impressed at all the english speakers
that do not have english as a first language, considering
there are so many people here who are from every part of the
globe (almost).
