suppose afx would release a new full-lentgh album with only
tracks like the ktpa's on smojphace, would you buy it?

i think i would, i didn't really like these noise tracks (i
do like akita's stuff though), but still..
just 'cause it's rdj probably

I prolly wouldn't. I haven't heard Smojphace yet, but
judging from peoples comments who have, I don't really want
to either :/

i'd download it and have a listen.
it'd have to be a darn sight better than the smojphace
wankerage for me to consider parting with my hard earned
cash for it!

release.

yup, even if he does a noise album i cant see him doing an
load of tracks all very similar to the smoj tracks, hes
bound to put a little variety into the noise....

i would even buy a blank cd if he released one. Something
titled like "the Sound of Silence" by AFX. Cool!

The people behind their music should never reveal
themselves, imo. That way the listeners would solely
concentrate on the actual music, nothing else.

I wouldn't coz i don't liek noise coz it's just piss easy to
make.

It's like the droney ambient stuff for me, I've made a few
of those tunes in like 5 minutes flat and ambient noise type
heads have been right into them but uhh I just am not.

no, i wouldn't buy any noise album, aphex or not. i don't
consider abstract and/or minimalist electronic stuff like
coil (how to destroy..., scatology, time machines), richard
devine (alea mapper), oval, qrter, etc. noise, but anything
that is just harsh noises with no enjoyable rhythm or sense
to it i'll skip. besides, chances are that richard would
release it just to be a wanker, not because he really
believed in it. i think richard has been composing really
beautiful and amazing music we won't hear for many years
(and most of it never).

except everyone has a different opinion of what's good.. so
if you already have an opinion of noise as a genre, chances
are you're not going to enjoy an aphex noise album unless
you really force yourself like people did w/ smojphace

Oh God no, no. Don't encourage the guy, leave this shit to
Merzbow. Ideally, I'd want him to tone down the manic beats
and glitches, go back to basics. As much as recycling old
ideas is frowned upon, give me another I Care Because You Do
and I'd be on Cloud 9.
