ah, but thats a generalization based on an assumption that
objectivity is non existent. in my case, i have no opinion
of noise music. if it is good, i will like it. this is true
of any genre of music.
i am god.

i think, well i hope, that he'll one day start issuing
unreleased tracks from earlier periods in his music. i'd
really much prefer that to him making new music in his old
style. i much like his new direction aside from "keep this
piss around (i need it for my next album)" 1 and 2... in
other words, the drill 'n' bass, piano, and abstract pieces.

"Give me the fortune, keep the fame" said my man Louis
I agreed, know what he mean because we live the truest lie
I asked him why we follow the law of the bluest eye
He looked at me, he thought about it, was like, "I'm
clueless, why?"
The question was rhetorical, the answer was horrible, our
morals are
out of place and got our lives full of sorrow and so
tomorrow comin'
later than usual, waitin' on someone to pity us, while we
findin'
beauty in the hideous

I feel this would apply to this thread if it was about
something completely different.

I wouldn't buy noise music because I have made enough of the
shit myself that IF I ever really start to enjoy it I will
have enough to last till death.

I soft of agree, Drukqs IS my favorite electronic album of
all time. But that was years ago now. It's really just
Smojphace that gets on my nerves, and it's probably just a
little EP experiment, I don't think he'll make anymore.
Although maybe he's getting a kick out of the backlash. I
would. We're a bunch of whiny brats.

I just miss subdued tracks, with beats, like Alberto Balsalm
and Flim. Nearest thing to those for on Druqks was
Bbydyonchord (sp?), and it wasn't on par. Probably on older
track anyway, a leftover that wouldn't have made the cut.

Whiny Brats? Fuck that...if I go out and spend my hard
earned money on an artist I respect only to receive a
substandard remix and two exercises in arrogant egotistical
wank I think I am entitled to moan.

You're right, we made Richie rich. To be fair, I liked Run
the Place Red, but one good track does not an EP make!
Richard apparently DOES care about what people think (the
Joyrex thing), so maybe he'll make up for it with a really
great album. He has it in him.

in my parents opinion:

radiohead is noise

so... who is right about what noise is?

i definatly wouldn't. I wouldn't even download the shit.

nacmat - noise is unintelligable sound. Perhaps you should
play them kpta1, kpta2 and then Paranoid Android and ask
them what noise is.

i listen to lots of music, some could be classed as noise,
but it is something totally differrent to what RDJ's is
doing.

I want to hear every song he recorded for SAWII. If the
title is true in that they're selected, I'd love to hear the
rest.

Some of the ''sounds'' in noise tracks are interesting, I
guess, but the boring sounds far outnumber the ones that WOW
me. There's always some moments with a certain drone or
squeal or something that where I say, ''that would sound
hardcore in an actual structured track''.

Or maybe it already is structured and I just don't ''get
it''. I think I'd rather ''get'' the Black Plague.

i never considered the title to be any more serious than
bogdan's '96 drum n bass "classixxx" but interesting
thought.

I actually find both the noise tracks listenable...even
interesting in parts...but neither of them are worth cash.

I'd definately buy it, only because i've heard a lot of his
'noise' tracks in a set before the Bjork concert earlier
this year, and most of the noise tracks were really good. So
an album release of that quality would be great, I hope he
does release it.

nah, i have enough noise in my life to be listening to it
when i'm off to school etc...

maybe for like a wake the fuck up CD...

DJ set, i'm sure most of it was other people's work.

I think most of it was his. It was very similar to Smojphace
and I dont think it was a DJ set

he was performing as "dj smojphace" and most noise is "very
similar to smojphace". it's not exactly a varied genre. i
know he plays noise tracks in his standard dj sets so this
was probably just an all-noise dj set.

maybe, but i'm sure some of it was his own. Doesn't matter
anyway, i'd still like a 'noise' album from Richard.

that came out a little cold anyway, sorry.. i have no idea
if it's a dj set or original material since i wouldn't
recognize anything regardless, i just figured it was a dj
set from what i've read and from the fact that richard
doesn't have a large catalogue of *released* noise tracks

I woukdn't be able to help myself .... but I reckon AFXs
version of noise wouldn't forgo melody entierly...

I hate to be the one to point this out, but AFX's version of
noise *does* forgo melody entirely (Ktpa1+2) :P
