i don't really like this feature, it's not like it's
difficult to make a topic yourself if you want to discuss a
release, and i don't like the way it's all automated. is
this the future of the board? people talking through
scripts?

it fills up the main page with stuff

itll only work if people stop making threads themselves...

i agree, it looks a bit unpersonal tho

I thought at first it would show you what threads have been
made already.

I dislike the topic titles being bold.

it already forced me into marriage with Zeus.

i disagree with you.

we will have relevant discussions on a specific releases in
ONE thread. sure, ppl can create their own threads too, but
if you are browsing the discog and wanna find out ppl's
opinions on a release - simple click the discuss-link.

im sure you will get used to this as soon as you have
truly understand the concept, which I doubt you have done
already.

and for the bold-title - it'll be changed to another color
soon, and not in bold.

now the topic aparently has started...

does the 12" have an insert ? i bought mine today ...and it
looks so empty, hehe

yes, it has an insert.

er, i understand that is a single 'standard' format for the
discussion of a specific release, so in clicking 'discuss'
in the discography you will be taken to the (supposedly)
solitary thread that is used to discuss the release.
what i don't like is how it is layed out, and also the idea
behind it is kind of silly when there is already a search
feature on the board which could be used for exactly the
same purpose.

it seems to me like you're just doing it for the sake of it.

"cover art by the designers republic"
- oh man they have style man, how could they make such an
awesome cover ??

#1) what's wrong with the layout?

#2) silly? there has been loads of ppl complaining on how
discussions are fragmented. now you'll find what you need
rather quickly.

so i'm fucked..no insert/// :(

this only makes sense if only the first person who clicks on
that button creates a topic, no?

1) i mean the layout of the initial message, i think there
should be an option to write a custom one, or just leave it
as something simple like the title of the release.

2) i guess a lot of people don't use the search function

sorry if this seems a bit negative, i'm just saying what i
think, i'm sure a lot of people will disagree.

offline Phobiazero from the next Xltronic (Sweden) on 2003-10-18 10:19 [#00907056]

#1) the first message has some VERY important rules written.
there's also a link to the specific release and the cover is
being displayed. the second message of the thread should be
your custom message/comment. instead of having me as the
"owner" of the first message we decided to have the initial
discuss-creator. it's a nice thing.

#2) i cant comment that, since it does not really apply to
this subject.

The search function is asinine. That's why people
continually create redundant topics.

totally brilliant.

gelk and gaekwad are beautiful image crammed songs, i tend
to play them alone rather frequently

blifil with a tiny bit of careful listening becomes an
unwell dance anthem :]

19 headaches also rates highly with me.. seems like a bonus
after having a listen thru the other 3 tracks, isolated its
a groove straight from the back inside of the head with a
great sense of humour :)

Oh, and my opinion on what Phobia is doing with discussing
the releases is a great idea. This way if your like hmm I
wonder if this cd is good, click the discuss link and bam!
you can see what everyone has to say about it.

Two thumbs up says me.

my fav (ae) (peel session) (2) review so far, I believe:

What are you saying about this?
Incredible! The minimum i can say about these tracks is that
they are mesmerizing gorgeous!
But do you know what exactly happen when the first track
starts?WHOOOAAAAHZZZ man...
This is a maximum excellent album: the melodies are folded
inside the beats with a super sensibility oveflowing change
wonderfully crafted and continuosly shaped with innovative
layers after each millisecond.Their use of melody and rhythm
is a contemprary music masterpiece from now on.
These pieces can be used spaciously to try to start a
communication between extra terrestrial being among space
planets.
