From the xltronic.com FAQ:

Is hacking the board OK?
First of all let's see what "hacking" means. If you fool
around the code, and try to hack the server side code, we
will punish you at once. It means a permanent ban.
If you only try to do some HTML trickery, and mess up the
board's layout, and you have reported it to a member of the

crew, you are OK. Otherwise you can count on a temp or perm

ban.

Why is everybody leaving? Or TRYING to leave? Or coming back
from a leave? Or planning a leave? Or settling back in after
a leave? Or between leaves?

He's probably

a) Gone home from work,
b) Tried to commit suicide with a dead jellyfish
c) Ate his own hands preventing him from posting any more.

Personally I think a is most likely.

Codemasters made good games even then, especially as the
Dizzys were budget releases as well. £1.99 or £2.99 for a
game...ah those were the days. :D

Giginger will be back. He is almost certainly just messing
about. If he's not I'll threaten violence on him when I next
see him (probably at the halloween bash) :)

ecnadniarb- yes, going down to the local department stor
with 4 weeks pocket money saved up to get Dizzy 3... ah,
those were the days.

I remember some Codemasters games... the Ultimate Stuntman
was great, it had sidescrolling platform levels, puzzle
levels (defusing bombs), driving levels, all kind s of great
shit.

Yeah the Oliver Twins really were kids when they started
out, coding in their bedroom... ah those were the days...
Even in the days of the amiga a lot of top selling games
were made that way. It's a shame even amateur shareware
quality games are now made by teams of people across the
internet :/

thoose were really the days...
When I think of 'the days' of a nice computerscene.. I think
of the early/mid 90s... But there are of course nice things
with the scene today (and the scene before!)...

And when talking about games, I still play more games from
that time than new games...
