well, confield takes repeated listens for it to 'gel', and
if it's the first time you have listened to it, playing the
last track first is NOT a good idea. give it some time,
listen to the album all the way through, repeat, you'll love
it in time i promise.

well i did listen to it all the way through, i like it, but
its just fucking PAINFUL to try to concentrate on what the
fuck is happening in that track

why don't you just relax and enjoy the music instead of
analyzing every bit?

it's not that bad really, when the beat mutates in the
second half of the track it's quite repetative, the beat
itself is complex but it is looped

because its phunn to try an find the loops and where it
repeates, thats how i listen to music, kind of a problem
with me i guess

yeh, the best way to enjoy ae is to just sit back and
appreciate it, let it wash over you, so to speak.
although what you're doing is quite normal for people new to
ae. give the album another listen when you feel like it,
baring this in mind.

I kind of do that as well but with ae it's best not to, when
you are comfortable with the stuff it's cool though

I liked all of the tracks on Confield fairly instantly (I'd
already heard Draft 7.30), except for Cfern, which I hate to
this day..

hmm, perhaps cos autechre are that way...one can enjoy their
music only by anylyzing it - its just that kind of music

(though, i cant enjoy them at all, well sometimes i can
listen and it feel nice, but i wouldnt call that enjoyment
hehe)
