I can't imagine anyone.. How stupid can one be..
the only ones falling for this are mid-fourties housewives and their impotent husbands.

what's the point of that e-mail? Just to be stupid?
I mean, normally, they are like: SEND CREDIT CARD INFO TO CONFIRM YOUR PRIZE NUMBERS!!!!!!!
this is just stupid.

there was this awesome scam described in wikipedia, I forget what it was called. (search "scam" in wikipedia.org to find it probably) but it works by a person putting up flyers that say something like "if you invest 1 dollar to my company I will triple your investment back to you" Eventually a few skeptical people just try it, but what the person does is uses the money people are investing TO pay people back just like he said. Eventually word gets around that this actually works, and soon people are investing 4 dollars, then 20 etc and the guy still uses other people's donations to pay the other people back, until eventually he stops paying anyone and disappears with a load of cash.

that sounds like what some well known CEOs have done.
It's not quite a pyramid, iirc it's called a Ponzi Scheme.
