Apparently, some of the tracks on Astrobotnia 3 are remixes
by AFX. Does anyone have any further details?

I'd say that Astrobotnia 2 was more of a contender for
"remixes" status. By whom, I couldn't say.

I'm not lying, I really did hear this from someone who would
know.. but I don't know which tracks or what.. and I agree
with martin, part 2 sounds like it has some RDJ in there,
but frrom what I understand, three is the cheese.

Guess I'm just looking for someone to come on here and
confirm. there are people who know out there...

I don't think it was anyone but Ovuca.

Maybe I'm the only one.

shitting christ - how many times do you lot have to have it
drummed into your tiny little idol worshipping skulls -
like it says on the rephlex site right now

"Astrobotnia / Ovuca is Finnish ex-porn star Aleksi Perala,
who creates deep dreamy tracks made from warm blankets of
chords and toasted breaks with oodles of detail you’ll
miss if you don’t listen carefully"

clearly none of you lot listen carefully but instead are
listening for aphex - which is a bit sad really

Aleksi makes great tunes!

I've known that astrobotnia was ovuca for a long time
friend. But the notion that Richard may have a few remixes
on one of the releases doesn't seem that absurd to me..

Aside from yourself, there was only one other person in this
entire thread who felt sure that he didn't appear on any of
the releases. We all know by now who Astrobotnia
is... we're all fans of electronic music... but
hardly anyone felt that the notion was preposterous.

Sorry man, I'm no idol worshipper.. just thought I'd try to
clear the air on a rumor/talk about techno with my friends.

richard has nothing to do with astrobotnia at all. it's just
ovuca - and he deserves all credits in the world for making
them.

yeah it's a rumour obvioulsy - else it would be called
astrobitnia afx mix and credited to him for publishing
reasons and other legalities
the rumour was probably started here !

also none of it sounds like aphex twin!

that's not true...
esther calling jenifer sounds very aphex to me so do c*nt,
i don't say they are him, but with b i think they stand out
from the rest of the tracks in term of style...

i also think that if you honestly listen to part II, side A
is a lot more aphexy than side B, or VERY different in
realisation

now i don't say they are tracks by him, but a long time
before the release, several rumors started about something
on men or rephlex by afx/ovuca, wich never saw the light of
day, and rephlex did say in the beginning of the release of
astrobotnia that it was one new artist : Kristian Richard
(second name of ovuca and first name of afx)...

that's just a lot of coincidence...
anyway enjoy the music, not the person who made it, i bought
2/3 part a year ago and don't regret it a bit , it
absolutely gorgeous music! :-D

i disagree entirely
you have heard aphex's music haven't you - it's not been
even close to astrobotnia for years .
those rumours were once again probably started here!
