Hello All

I just added a new rule to the web server:

If the referer is not from xltronic.com, the server will
redirect to a warning message.

Translation from geek lingo: if you put media files URL into
another website/forum/board etc., our system will not let it
download.

Please let me know if it causes any problems, or anything
else is broken from now.

THanks for the understanding.

Hotlinking especially to a site like xltronic with all the
media files would end up costing phobia et al. an absolute
fortune.

Yes, it's causing problems. I can't download unless my
firewall is disabled, and then it's only a 1 on 20 chace
that it works. The rest of the time it downloads a "no
hotlinking!" jpg. And I can't "save as" I have to just click
it and let it play

This has scuppered my plans for an xltronic.co.uk rip off
site. I was just going to mirror the site. Now I shall have
to think again.

Oh yeah I see it is a bit tough.

I will maybe find out how to modify the rule, so it will let
download stuff, it is not linked from another site, but will
work if you just pass it to a download accelerator, or wget,
etc.

im confused...

so say, if I link a song off of my website, on here... you
can click it and listen... but if you right click, you cant
hit "download"

am I on the right track?

The original idea was that you could not even right click
and listen... I don't know how it's still possible.
