well, our jerk (former) president was pretending like it was the right hymn-not to disturbe the protocol :) our current president is also a big idiot, but then again i dislike almost all of our politicians-they're presenting slovenia like some succesfull country - everything is starting to fall appart tho, but as long as they can meet foreign politicians (they especially like US governament - our stupid minister of foreign affairs is constantly sucking up to GW bush) they're happy...sad, sad country i live in... as for the hockey - slovaks are definitely better...our team is pretty weak-we dont have a strong league at home, so its really no wonder... we have been independent since 1991 and yeah, we're one of the former yugoslavian republics... (the first republic that called independency) |

small countries like slovenia just have some odd need to suck up to the states.. at least it will get them a 'good start' as a nation.. a strong ally if needed. |

i wouldnt say countries have that need...its more politicians need (at least in slovenia) most of the young people here disapprove our policy towards US, but we have lots of older people - they're the ones that care the most about our future so we always get the people they like wining the elections...its just terrible... |
