mmh i didnt like mulholland drive
just messy and too much "lost highway like" imo
not so bad, just not mind blowing
we all know lesbians and wtf with that silencio thing...too
repetitive and boring i almost felt asleep, but lost highway
is THE FILM in many ways

The Wild Bunch
Memento

everything by stanley kubrick

the list could get huge. there are far to many for me to
narrow it down here.

I'd say Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was pretty
mind-blowing considering how well Clooney did as a
first-time director. a bit over-directed, but well done.
also Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman's Adaptation. was fucking
incredible, only if u were in on the joke though

mind-blowing would be Blade Runner.

i guess 2001 took prescedent - i limited myself to one
sci-fi cos otherwise my list would have been x2 as long....
2001 was made in wot? 1969? when i watched it first with my
mates the most mindblowing aspect of it was "how the fuck
could they do sfx in 1969 better looking than they can
now?", of course you watch it more and it gets better cos
you notice more, but the sheer fucking brilliance of the sfx
doesn't diminish.

i don't watch that many films though, so if anyone has seen
better sfx on a film that age, then i'd be thrilled to check
it out.

I love the very last scene of 2001.. the time-compression
part

goodfellas
the last temptation of christ
citizen kane
any given sunday
the shining ?
eyes wide shut
kids
the game
godfather part iii (not mind-blowing for any good reasons,
save for the cavalleria rusticana ending)
apocalypse now (not redux, that was just overkill)

and w/o a doubt, one of the best movies ever made: JFK

momento was eh.. it was based on a gimmick so it loses
points right off the bat. and other than the resulting
confusion, having the film played in reverse does very
little to reflect the psychological tumult guy pearce's
character went thru.. I didnt really like it. if that movie
came out in chronological order, it would have been panned,
a piece of shit

Requiem for a Dream was awesome. I was totally stoned when i
watched it, put me in a weird vibe afterwards but the whole
thing is done sooo well.

The thin red line was especially good. There's so much in
there. Fuck private rian.

2001 and The Shining always mesmerize me. I love the
atmosphere in the Shining, it's like my dream house... big
mansion in the middle of nowhere. I can totally picture
myself there, getting murdered...

Or... murdering...

*hisses
