Are you new to the album? I felt the same way for a couple months, and then BAM, it made my ears orgasm spontaneously one night. I guess I forced myself to like it... and now it's my second fave IDM behind Drukqs. I like the emotional detachment. |

You know why I think people are harsh on Confield? I think it's because it's very alien. It contrasts all other music, even IDM, very well. It's got beautiful chords, complex beats, and first-rate sequencing, does it not? The rhythms and harmonies are lightyears ahead of anything I've heard prior to Confield. It's really something for Autechre. I think Pen Expers is a bit weak, but only in comparison to the rest of it. Great record, man! |
